What went wrong with IZNA?

I didn't watch Iland 2 so i don't know any of the members, i wasn't hype for their debut or attached to any of the members
so i just went into it having no expectations and i think it was the best thing
i loved IZNA as a debut song, but it wasn't a song strong enough to make me want to learn about the group or the members.
I still try to give a chance to the album thinking that Izna was big bop so maybe other song of their discography might fit my taste but it wasn't the case
so i can understand that for the people who watched Iland and were really excited and hype for this debut
the song might have been a let down for them and it kinda kill the momentum the girls had
+ a lot of 5th gen gg from big company got announce at the last minute and debuted pretty quickly so it shift the attention izna had to other gg
-
well their debut album sold 260k so
i think the fan base is there…well was there.
i’m honestly not sure if they’ll sell that well again considering fans are leaving due to newer groups coming and the debut being a let down.

you really didn’t enjoy their b-sides? i feel like those were the standouts from the album instead of the title track

Uhm, that's the foul with groups from non big4.. if the debut isn't to fans liking a lot just drops them... I think after their cb we'll see how the fb will stay .. and also let's hope the company see fans complain and work on it.

i have little faith in wakeone and teddy so im expecting the worst

zb1’s latest album that they dropped yesterday was fire tho.
But yeah teddy should retire.

No i gave a try with "timebomb" cuz a lot of people said it should have been the TT
i liked everything in this song except the chorus and the chorus is the most important thing in a song for me, if you don't enjoy the chorus it's hard to enjoy the song cuz everything is build around the chorus of the song
the same problem happened with IWALY, the song was so good until the chorus came
the song would be an instant hit for me if they went for a singing chorus, and not an empty chorus
Drip was lackluster too in the sense that the debut with the "yeah you got that, yeah you got that" part at the start was such a hype thing, i was ready to go for an adventure with a really upbeat and groovy song but the rest of the song didn't fit the energy of the debut of the song
so when i heard this difference in energy in the song i was kinda taken off
and i looooooveeeeed FAKE IT, the song is so good, the song isn't super energetic but i didn't get bored 1 sec listening to it
i would have prefer for them to promote fake it with Izna and not timebomb

i think tbl is in charge of the group’s music for their entire contract

The market is saturated, for any group, tbh. gg's and bg's. unless they are doing something that keeps them in the public eye, whether that's fan meets, or a variety show or something it's going to be quite easy to forget they exist. if they would give them maybe a small variety show in between releases that might help them gain more fans.

I don't know, they didn't match with the trend( sexy and healthy body).

You are aware those are children right, like literal teenagers? Mai is the only member who is an adult?

to further reinforce what two other people told you:
1 WP and if you talk about children bodies again you will be perma banned.

wtf
these are minors you're talking about
-

And? Why debuting them?

And? Why debuting them?
You're missing the point. Your choice of words (that they're not popular because they don't fit the trend of "sexy and healthy bodies") was questionable and unfitting for this discussion because they're minors.
There's no way they could fit that trend or concept, and I know you know this given what you said here:
-
And? Why debuting them?
honestly? I have no idea what to be pissed off about you
The fact that you are a self proselytic trying to absolve the entire universe of Kpop
Or the fact that you are a moronic self impersonation of a priest that feels bad about it
I am utterly confused.
You said they failed because they don\t do sexy concepts.
Talking about children mind you.
And yes, you were just expressing your opinion about the direction of said group above.
Whom are majoritally minors.
U Sir, are a Cunt with a capital C.

1. Too many groups debuting these days , not many people will care about group outside big4
2. There's 3 variants debuting within 1 year time= izna (teddy's music) + meovv (teddy's group) +baemon (teddy used to produce ygngg )
3. iland2 is a flop show compare to produce heydays
4. Kep1er is a flop, zb1 mid tier so don't expect much from wakeone

So you think minors have to be sexy to not flop? Surely cant be something like better music. Youre wierd af. You do not need to be sexy to release good music or dess provocatively. Especially a minor. You're a sicko dude. Please get yeeted to the looney bin....Wonyoung gained weight to be healthy not for a sick trend.
-
I saw it as a poor choice of words and gave you the benefit of the doubt — that maybe you meant to say:
"Sexy concept is trendy right now and they don't fit the concept because most of them are underage."
All you had to do was clarify that instead of pulling the "Why debut them?" card.
But anyways... I disagree. Even though the mature concept is popular, there's also another side to K-pop that's trending right now. Sexy concept doesn't have to be the only concept for groups to be successful, and we've been seeing this.

Thats not even the trend. Girl crush and cute concepts is the trend. You literally are coming across like youre sexualizing minors. Gross af. Aespa are adult women they have the right to dress a bit more sexy. As far as newly debuted groups it's all about cute and girl crush. What drugs are you on? I dont even stan gg's and I can clearly see this. You do not need to dress a certain way to make a statement and be empowered.
-
They don't NEED to be sexualized to succeed, however let me play devil's advocate. Even if that was the case, these are children, we do not need to go backwards to the days of Stellar being forced into nearly naked outfits against their will and getting blackmailed into taking photos then having those photos released as a PR stunt. That would be a huge regression. As far as the groups you mentioned, one was fully adults at debut, NingNing was 19 and the youngest member of aespa. Kiss of Life refused to do a mature concept like Sticky until AFTER Haneul was of legal age for Korea and voiced that she was comfortable with it, even then they did it for one comeback then went to a traditional-esque type concept for Get Loud, mixed with dance music. Igloo was written by the older members of Kiss of Life and again not released until Haneul was well past the legal age of adulthood and was comfortable with it.
-
That's pretty much not true, dude.
NewJeans's concept and BABYMONSTER's concept aren't exactly sexy concept. They're still doing well.
IVE's concept is not sexy concept either, and they've been winning at these music shows. "Rebel Heart" and "Attitude" are songs about empowerment and confidence.
