Aespa music is so messy.

tbf I think their music pre spicy was messy but now I think it’s palatable for most and maintains being interesting at the very least

Messy makes it unique maybe. I enjoy selected parts of Aespa music and hence want to listen it from start to the end.

Whereas less messy songs have the magic to make you sing the hook song and remember it quite well. But I wouldn't bother to listen from start to end or watch the MVs.

well what do you expect from SM? Even if the song performs poorly, SM will continue their sound route. They will never make generic ass songs. Only aespa and NewJeans are the only recent groups who brings out fresh and unique sounding songs in kpop and that is the reason why aespa and NewJeans separates from other groups.

listen to their bside if you want your kinda music. It's pretty good.

The distinguishing feature of kpop songs is that they are messy. If you want to listen to other kinds of music, you have to listen to western music. aespa music has always been experimental, like red velvet. My guess is Sm's next group will probably follow the basic song trend.

Ditto is a Thunder Road style masterpiece next to Armageddon.

I dunno what happened to Aespa's music. Black Mamba was decent, Next Level is probably still the greatest 4th gen title song ever made. Now they've fallen from an 11 out of 10 to a literal 1 out of 10. The craziest rise and fall in music quality i've ever seen from one act.

There is not a single ounce of musicality in this whole song. Everyone makes fun of edgy noisy messy BG songs from NCT, Stray Kids, and Ateez, but there's not a single title song that i've heard from them that sounds as bad as this.

It's better than the calm songs Lesserafim has been releasing lately. Newjeans best song is Ditto, there is a only Psycho that can be compared to it. Not every girl group can produce such classic pop songs.

Im sorry but just what makes it messy? They literally follow pop formula, verse, pre-chorus- chorus, sometimes post chorus, and repeat, bridge, outro.

And if you think it’s because of instrumentals, i beg listen to outside k-pop. Genuinely, that’s the only thing I can say. LMAO. Bubblegum bass and Hyperpop are primary inspiration of aespa’s instrumentals.

Believe me, i aint a big fan of either of those LSRFM songs either. They're in the blop category. PN is a 5, Easy is a 6. Drama was also a 5 as is Supernova.

Not much difference between them all, basically mid kinda songs.

But this Armageddon is singularly horrific. Cacophony in my ears. They never should have released it.

Drama, Supernova and Armageddon has been great so far. Hope they continue with this style.
