HYBE is trying too hard to be a Western label

no offense to those who are White when i say this, this not for anyone on here

but Bang PD about to get a severe wake up call sooner than later because he keep tryna join hands with the White man :pepe-narrow-eyes:

he dont realize all they see him as is just a Asian dude with money, so they gonna take advantage of that

idk if he just tone deaf to how dirty and fucked up this music-entertainment industry really is, but being put in a 10 year deal sounds hell to me

also expecting Rihanna, Lady GaGa, Taylor Swift etc to actually go on Weverse every other day to talk to fans is DELUSIONAL......I think he forgot that most of them is 32+ years of age and up, and that kpop is a wayyyy different ball game and structure compared to the American music industry.

idk why his greedy ass don't just stick to conquering Kpop, because he already has a hold on that.

he keep pushing it and pushing it like a bimbo...i mean Scooter is gonna drag his ass down man

literally just wasting BTS money ;judgingpepe:

and imagine once BTS come back as a group next year and start promoting and touring..thats gonna bring in MORE money, which will leave MORE room for Scooter goofy ass to talk Bang PD to spending another 500 million on something unnecessary :pepe-life-support:

  • Honestly, nobody gets to the top in this world without being ok with doing some unethical, questionable, or morally grey things. This includes Bang PD. I doubt he's as naive as what some people think. I'm more curious about what Hybe gets out of this in the long run because they're definitely getting more than just UMG artists on weverse IMO.

Seems like with this deal, HYBE and UMG will collaborate with promoting and marketing artists in North America.

  • About Weverse, it is partially our fault. ARMY begged for years for a global interactive fanclub that could mirror DC gallery. When we got it, most were thankful it would be a BigHit only thing (ex. like the army bombs replacing the heart button from vlive) but then it wasn't in less than six months.

That's when this nightmare started and they started collecting labels like infinity stones. BTS really catapulted Bang PD's corporate greed x1000. And there is no end to this now with Scooter on board. He's been involved with Hybe since the white house visit. And every US based activity since he's been Hybe America CEO has been under the direct supervision of Scooter.

We are stuck with two money hungry capitalistic vultures and no amount of us complaining will get him removed or stop Bang PD from trying to be a big global player like Samsung for South Korea. Unless Scooter steals from the company or manipulates stocks or committed some type of fraud, he will not be removed now that he brokered this big UMG deal for Bang PD.

Oh wow trollie, I didnt know only white men can be evil conniving businessmen! Thanks Troll-ssi. Good to know.

  • what does being white have to do with anything???

no offense to you, but i said that because they are the ones who control this music industry and the ones who do these dirty deals etc

if u look at the higher ups of the big labels around the world, especially in America, White men controls it

no hate, but that's just what it is :pepe-tinfoil-hat:

  • Do they have no better option other than Scooter? I thought they acquired his flop label to brag about having jb and Ariana under their company but even they've left now, what's the use of this guy?

  • Oh wow trollie, I didnt know only white men can be evil conniving businessmen! Thanks Troll-ssi. Good to know.

just say ur White and felt offended, so u can go :exit-pepe:

i literally didnt say anything disrespectful in my thread, i was just calling things out for what it is

not tryna be rude to anyone on here

  • You really think Bang PD is not shady himself? I am not even a BTS fan, but considering how some members are treated by the staff (outside of promotions. It is probably the most obvious I have ever seen in the Big4) it just shows the company does not care for their artists and I don't doubt he (or let's his employees) blackmails/pressures some people into resigning etc. In the music industry (or rather the whole entertainment industry worldwide) you as a higher up can't really stay nice even if you have a cash cow. He is too greedy to admit to himself that the West doesn't work like Kpop and takes even the slightest chance to make money and gain influence (in the future)

Isn't this weverse "a txt website turned into an app"? Correct me if I'm wrong.

  • Billions BTS made for him and him returning them nothing

No BTS member is richer than IU, who used to own her own company.

The thing is, idk why BTS dont just put it in their contract that they want more...unless they feel conditioned that the money they currently receiving is the "right amount".

Easily i would ask for 20 million on my contract...and granted that's not even enough compared to how much the group bring in.

I heard they only got $7 million dollars each on their contract renewal

  • People here acting like they know BTS' net worth when we have zero idea what their paycheck is :skull:

  • Whenever someone starts off with "no offense," it's usually because they have something pretty offensive to say. It's also rarely something worthwhile. Take this one for example. If you think Kpop CEOs are gullible, happy-go-lucky little angels who don't know how shady business can be, as opposed to the white tyrants of the west, you're delusional with a capital D.

BTS got around 15m each just for signing the contract according to the reports but we don't really have an idea how much they're getting. Each members did get 7m worth of shares from their last contract, we don't know about this time.

i mean tbh.....idgaf about what i say and i stand on it no matter what lol

i only put "no offense" cuz if i didn't, people was gonna come in the comments crying :boompepe:

plus i didnt say anything disrespectful anyway, i just pointed a fact.

White men in the entertainment industry dont have a "good track record" for making certain deals and etc etc

but at the end of the day, its Bang PD decision so it is what it is🤷🏻‍♂️

RM appears to be negotiating for the members and I think he is short changing them

IU made close to $20m last year with no foreign activity, not counting appreciation on whatever she owns. The example of IU, which at least Suga, JHope and Tae would be very aware of, will not be forgotten in 2027 when everyojne's contracts end.

Which is why I don't see BTS continuing as it is beyond 2027. It is likely that RM and JK will stay in Hybe, but I don't see the rest sticking with it.

  • You're only proving my point. You knew you were going to say something offensive, but nothing was going to stop you, so you paid lip service to civility by including a hollow "no offense." Just like everyone else who does it. If you're going to insist on making bogus racial commentaries, at least own up to your own incendiary nature instead of trying to sugar coat it with minimal effort.

you cant point out nothing in my thread that was disrespectful ma'am/sir :pepe-narrow-eyes:

u must be White thats why you feel some type of way, giving me these unnecessary ass paragraphs💀

and trust me there's A LOT i can say about White people, but I didn't cuz that's not the topic.

i just pointed out something about the music industry which White people control.

if u feel hurt cuz i said Bang PD shouldn't trust the White man, then idk what to tell you sugarplum :pepepizza:

Are you daft? Yoongi probably made double that just from his tour and merch sales, not to mention all his other music income and endorsement income from Valentino, NBA and Samsung.

BTS make money in foreign currency literally, they contribute to about 60% of a billion dollar enterprise's revenue...only a delulu would think they make less money than IU. Ofc you can keep the delusion going cause BTS' income has never been revealed.

What they might make and what they actually take home are different issues.

IForeign concerts are not that profitable unless it is done big, after the organizers and staff are paid. it is unlikely that the gross profit rate was more than 50% of total revenue.

Suga's world tour drew 300,000. Assuming a ticket price of $150, that means $n very lu45 million. Although Hybe does its own production, it is not known how much of the cost was actually borne by Hybe. Suffice to say that Suga would have been very luck to see $10m from his tour, probably much less.

    It is fine to be concerned about this issue since the members' continued loyalty to Bang is essential to continue BTS beyond 2027. However, given that Bang acts as if he does not need BTS, some Armies will probably see a very rude awakening in 2027;

I agree. I still don’t understand the use of that Scooter guy. He’s just a huge waste of money.

It’s sad what happened to what BTS created.

If people think BTS doesn't want the money you are 🤡🤡🤡🤡 . BTS are board members of HYBE they are briefed and knows exactly wtf hybe is doing and a corporation by law is legally required to make as much money as possible for its constituents. If you think BTS cares more about you than you are very naive you are looking at a conflict of interest when you use those rose tinted glasses to look at the members. This is like saying the CEO of a meat market doesn't eat meat 🤡 you see how that's a conflict of interest.
