I still can't believe how JYP fumbled the bag with Itzy

If twice disbanded it would have been better for itzy

Keep in mind, Itzy were affected by the COVID pandemic, they did a Showcase Tour to 7 countries including 5 stops in America, in only 9 months from their debut.

They are the first JYPE Girl Group to have 3 KMCA Million certified albums, all 3 were done in just over a year, they'll be doing their 2nd World Tour so their future is bright.

This topic is getting a little old now. We must accept Itzy as the way it is. I personally like Itzy's Japanese title songs more. Whoever chooses those songs, should also choose Korean songs in the same style. Itzy is a quality group. It's not their fault that netizens jump on every new group that comes out. I think Jyp gave Itzy the most iconic songs in their early years, but he should have done this by dividing it up and giving them good songs gradually. Unfortunately, they give now most cheesy type songs to Korea, but now they give Japanese songs with a darker and more energetic vibe. Honestly Ringo is my favorite song from Itzy this year.

You shouldn't expect Nmixx to become the most popular group, that was the fate of other groups. There is no rule that says Jyp will always find star groups. As long as Jyp has Skz there will be no problem. I think Jyp forgot to form a group in Nmixx, considering the group chemistry. Because from what I understand, group dynamics and chemistry are important. Nmixx is talented, but unfortunately the group dynamics did not reach me.

It’s sad but it happens I guess. The way their Japanese singles get praised. Sneakers ruined their hype and the lack of solo doesn’t help especially imo when they have the best lineup

Cake is doing well, and they can slowly get back the hype with great music again.

I understand if you're not familiar with the group. And i agree that something feels off about the group

But in terms of raw talent, every member is more vocally talented than the average kpop idol and most of them have an unique voice color imo

itzy's only problem was/is operating alongside other jyp ggs. At the start of their careers, it was with twice and then as twice slowed down(did they slow down? they are still THE jyp gg), they had to share the jyp tag with nmixx. Only blackpink was operating in yg and one can say red velvet only started working well in SM when they became their only active gg for many years until aespa debuted.

In hybe, lesserafim has the same problem. in cube, lightsum has the same problem.

We talk about this on the forum every week LOL Yes JYP really ruined ITZY by giving them terrible music, to me JYP doesn't know what to do with ITZY, they can't figure out what their concept should be, or what their sound should be. At this point it's over for Itzy.

I agree with JYP fumbling the bag with Itzy. I disagree with the statement that you made about Nmixx being talentless.

Too be fair it's often can small margins between success and failures, and also hard to know which songs will be popular or not. Let's say they would have had one really good and popular song 2021 and one really good song 2022 we would probably see them in an other light. It's pretty normal for popular groups to have some borings songs, but they don't have too many of them as ITZY have. When groups have about two singles each year it's also a high risk both will be failures and a "lost year". It's a bit easier for well established popular groups to get away with some weak songs, like BP.

Itzy in their nugu era? This means they could tour for South America in the future with other nugus. Let's go

Sadly I agree. Even if they don't have strong vocals they should have had a few songs with more vocal lines. Their rap isn't the worst but many songs were ruined for me by too much rap-talking and shouting. Many girl groups with average vocals can do it. I would like their songs better with more melody. I think people got put off by the same type of songs coming out after eachother. I like the girls and I find them talented but without seeing their dance I can't get excited for the songs.

But no-ones going 'wow this nmixx member has a tone of voice completely different and found nowhere else'. They're pretty stock standard. And if you do believe they've 'unique vocal colours' then I recommend you expand your musical catalogue.

İkr? Itzy has too many center material members. Like most of them have star charisma but here we are. That is why the most important thing for a successful group is good marketing team. That’s why i’m laughing every time YG is blamed for mistreating their groups. They had amazing promotion to make a successful girl group with bare minimum effort.

I said “how do you peak in your rookie years without a cute concept” aka how did they fall off without even having to change from a younger cuter concept to an older one like twice did and they lost all their popularity in Korea
