50/50 has apparent connections to Warner, a producer who has lots of experience in the industry, and fast rise to fame, lots of Kpop fans started to point out they may be industry plants that fake an underdog stories. They seem to have more payola than Newjeans now. Do you agree they are industry plants?
Do you think Fifty fifty are industry plants or are organic?

I think a lot of these fans are just angry that fifty fifty have gotten big and are jealous. Industry plant? if they are, then who cares, people like the song, and we need more variety of groups. I mean come on how many comebacks do we need to see from ive, aespa, lesserafim, new jeans etc etc. we heard enough from them. Industy planting is another form of frauding, but I will look away from this because I believe all nugu groups deserve peace and justice.

This screams hate and insecurity.
The song is literally the most viral kpop song of 2023.

And it's highly likely that OP actually didn't care about fifi at all. OP just want to see akp user to "discuss" a problem.
Well unless 1 problem about 1 group that op seemingly avoid

The song is literally the most viral kpop song of 2023.
3rd most viral song of alltime behind only GS and Dyna and if it shows longevity in Hot 100, it will overtake Dyna.
GS will always be #1 because nobody here had heard of him and i dont think he had any fans or backing when it hit the Hot 100.
Dyna had the greatest success on Hot 100 but they were backed by a huge Army fanbase in the US and very well promoted, and BTS well known by folks who follow US pop culture.
Cupid has been more like GS, apparently Warner only came onboard a couple weeks ago, and the song had already done multiple weeks in the Hot 100 before they became involved.

What kitty mean is, their label, attrakt already had a partnership with warner music right before they debuted.
But it needs to be cleared off that the one that attrakt had a partnership with is warner music Korea, not the warner music US that helped them after cupid hitting big.
Their WM Kr didn't do much (maybe only as a distributor I guess), since their previous release was under the radar of most kpop stans

Many idols did dubbing before, no one cares, suddenly Newjeans does it and people said Hybe paid for the position. Newjeans are called fraudulent with playlisting when their songs go viral but Fifty fifty is organic? There’s a double standard here

Yeah i saw they debuted in Nov 22 and literally made no waves despite their alleged "push" by powerhouse Warner Korea lol. Their debut single charted 190 on Gaon.
They clearly went viral in Feb/Mar/April, enough to make Warner America take notice and now they're getting the fruits of their viral success with this bigtime inclusion in the anticipated summer blockbuster.

Yeah, that's why it's weird if privilege or payola are used to attack them.
But, hey, antis will turn their eyeblind if it not fits their narrative and believe.
For them it's like:
Fifi is privileged because they are under warner. And that's it.
They may even forgetting the fact that fifi was viral simply because of tiktok. A tiktok that started by their fans
But well, many kpop stans are beyond salvation so I expect nothing decent from them

I agree about Tiktok. I dont use that program but to me, a song that gets popular there first is the peak of virality in this day and age. Kpoppies shading songs popularized by Tiktok as "inorganic" never made no sense. It's the most organic you can get, just regular fans loving a song and using it to make videos, which then spreads and catches fire throughout the entire worldwide app in a truly organic peer to peer way.
It's 1000x more organic than having labels setting up huge promotional campaigns, appearing on popular shows and radio programs, utilizing commercial tie in campaigns with household brands that everyone knows.
I think Drivers License went viral the same way, it was ginormous on Tiktok and broke records there iirc. Then it crossed over into the mainstream with Olivia's label seizing the moment to truly promote it. The biggest song in recent memory, and one of the best songs of the entire century.

I mean, some songs are made for tiktok.
Heck, even choreos are now made with tiktok challenge in minds.
And some company are even trying tiktok to promote their new release.
Can't be helped since tiktok is one of the biggest social media, meaning they can reach high engagement if they got it right.
Heck doja cat becoming big from tiktok too

Also people use this "organic" term to drag other group.
It's all for:
"My fav is big because they are pure talent"
To feel superior and above the other stan.
When actually, a company promoting their group it's actually normal and it's their fcking job to promote them
-
Buying playlisting is not payola.
Payola is sajaegi, bribing and paying people to astroturf either to hype up your group or smear another.
-
Some of these stan’s want to gate keep the underdog story lmao. They see Cupid success as a threat and try to diminish that. And it’s funny how they bring up the Danielle situation and are doing the same to Fifty Fifty.
It’s fine when New Jeans bags McDonald’s, Chanel, LV, Coca Cola, TLM and have a little TikTok hit but it’s wrong when it happens to an independent artist outside the big companies.
Anyway, it’s insane how fast y’all switch up on the girls. The tune changed after they exceeded your expectations. Y’all felt bad when the CEO sold his car and how talented they’re to be nugu now their an industry plant. That’s why most of y’all want them to be one hit wonders.

Crazy how Grammys posted about Fifty Fifty before they even released Cupid

“Industry plant” and “organic” are so 2021.

Manifesting BB Girls (previously Brave Girls) to get the plant privilege since they signed to Warner directly

Strictly speaking, it is NOT KPop.

Umm, yes it is

The switch up is happening I am afraid. 😭

Industry plant or organic? Here's what I think: FiftyFifty are making some kpop stans insanely jealous, hence the lashing out.
