You gotta be fucking kidding me, what's going with this group for real?
Hold on, Kep1er's last EP sold less than 200k???

Seems like people leave the fanbase?
Can't be helped tho since there are so many varieties of 4th gen ggs...
-
Their success is worrying. Flopping digitally is fine. But sales declining in the current period is concerning.
-
Sadly the moment they've released their best title they already tanked due to previous songs.
Also this is what you get when you don't think wisely. Masters basically killed Yurina off, PD's added their own with suggesting Su Ruiqi wanted two parts or better part lol
Another thing is that Boys Planet started and some people aka multis just then diverted attention into it. And BP was already more successful with that full audience final episode and also they even managed chart one song high Melon from program before it ended and before group was creates.
-
Well it was bound to happen the songs they've released are lackluster even if people think Wadada was catchy it still was bad and the group doesn't have an identity and they don't have it girls can carry the group that's why they're loosing popularity also the group as whole looks off Zb1 looks more coherent as group than Kepler

Nah Bp airing isn't the reason for their decline popularity when Iz*one was promoting producex101 was airing and it didn't affect their popularity in the slightest
-
From what I follow from Reddit Zeroses and other Boys Planet watchers a huge part of the audience shifted to Zerobaseone
Seems like Kep1er fandom never really liked most of their songs (arguably, they don't like the final line up either) and only bought the debut album because they wanted to help their bias after the show ended, but never planed to be a long term stan
When Boys Planet started, many of them slowly lost interest because the male version was more promising
Sucks for Kep1er though, they sound like a guinea pig group only to experiment the buzz of a new series

Most of iZone fandom doesn't seems to come from the show. If anything people who watched the show found it lukewarm and felt the like up was rigged (and was indeed)
iZone built a huge chunk on their fandom during their promotions as a group. Their songs was generally well received and their sales increased
If ZB1 releases bad songs and fail to build a momentum I can see their audience dropping them once Girls Planet 2 starts

First sentence is 100 percent true. Second sentence is incomplete and somewhat misleading. True their songs were well liked and sales did increase, but they couldve released five O.O.s and Dynamites, it wouldnt have mattered - those girls were destined for stardom and in some cases, superstardom, regardless of song quality.

It didn’t help that the fan favourites Yurina and Wenzhe didn’t make the group.
Their songs ended up being not good either and when they did switch up their sound it was already late.
Then add the multiple 4th Gen girl groups that debuted. Fans who followed Kep1er but jumpshiped had other options to choose from.
Also, Mnet likes to make their first season a trial and error. The mistakes that were in Girls Planet and in Kep1er were improved in Boys Planet as to why the show was more better and ZB1 is much more popular and has the bigger budget.

Well i don't know about Iz*one fandom but one thing for sure the show was very popular a lot of the songs that came from the show were very popular and individually the girls had a huge fanbase and Iz*one had distinguishable concept and music sound which helped them compete with the rest of 3rd gen groups also their company pushed them a lot on variety shows, Kep1er has yet to appear in a popular show Wakone fumbled in all areas when it comes to Kep1er.
Something is telling me Wakone will know how to manage Zb1, I feal like with Kep1er wakone saw that gp999 wasn't that well received so they just wanted a quick cash to get back whatever money they put on th show

Well if you say so
As an avid Produce-Planet fan I knew from the start a survival featuring Japanese idols based in Japan would be a disaster, the difference in skills and training time too big to overcome. In this sense, the show did not disappointed me: It was exactly as bad as I was expecting
It was also annoying how openly xenophobic the show was, they treated the Japanese girls as if they were inferior beings or something.
The rigged final line up with Kaeun removed was such a bummer... there was no way for me to like or follow iZone
Until today it's the only Produce-Planet season I had no good memories whatsoever

Produce 48 was huge and everywhere for sure, many of its performances went viral with 10, 20, 30 millions of views. Its online engagement was arguably the biggest Produce-Planet to date, even more so than Produce 2
However when I think about the aftermath... Produce 2 ending just hit like a storm eith INSANE ratings near the end and Wanna One was just a very loved group from debut (in Korea). People missed Jonghyun and Samuel sure but the line up was fine enough. They started a new kpop mania that I hardly see in Boygroups let alone rookies. Their songs being average to bad aside from Energetic killed their momentum, but their debut was insane
Produce 48 ending was controversial. First there was the endless rumors of rigging. Second, not all members were that well liked. Third there was always a question in the air of wether Sakura or Wonyoung truly won the show (we still do not know that). I feel like all this controversy really damaged their debut. La Vien Rose was well received, but it not smashed as hard as Energetic and their sales were somewhat smaller than a group with such scale of publicity should have attracted. My impression is that Produce 48 was huge, but iZone was not on the same level
This slowly changed with time, iZone started attracting fans outside their show. The rigging controversy turned to be almost a game changer, in a way they solidified their fandom which used to be far more fragmented
So overall, iZone did the opposite of Wanna One. That's why I say iZone got more fans after debut than pre debut

Giddy could have been a hit if it was their first comeback, or even second, but We Fresh damaged kep1er fandom power. The girls are more liked than the musical direction, but it's hard to keed supporting an talented idol if their songs aren't your taste. I don't think the problem relies in the lineup, the first album sold well, more than I expected, so the lineup had hype at first.
That's me. I had the same problem with X1, Jinhyuk was my 1pick and they removed him. I.O.I and Wanna One were my favorites, even more because they had more vocal power compared to the other two.

My 1-pick was Woodz which I still follow until today lol
But I felt Produce X to be VERY mid, not outright annoying like P48, but just... I don't know imemorable? I can remember more performances from P48 than PX
Produce 101 was companies showcasing their best trainees to sell them as groups, they never expected the show to be popular, they just want to farm fandom. That's why the girls was so savage and competitive, no media training, they were not there to be friends and they were fucking talented, probably the strongest top 20 even after all those years
Broduce was more like male trainees desperate to be successful. It's still the most emotional and dramatic Produce to date, for real the trainees seemed to be all performing like their life depended on it (with few exceptions). Not a big pool of talent like original P101, but at least enough to be entertaining
P48 and PX just feel inferior to both, really. In PX companies were obviously sending their disposable trainees and were shameless about. With a 5 years contract you don't want to waist talented idols, you want your dozens to be used to farm sales as a side business

That's when the final lineup is not liked by people.
Aside from the obvious hyiih hate train, there are also way top many korean members which gotten low votes from international viewer. Unfortunately, international fans are still the biggest contributor of sales. Koreans voted for korean and the final lineup being so pathetic
Lineup already a big joke
-Xiaoting #9, not even top 3
-SuRuiqi and Yaning Not In
-Yurina Not In
-Dayeon and Yeseo which had no international fan support (and till today, their photocards are still the cheapest and no one wants them)
-Yujin pity votes but people arent supporting her as loud as they were
- center not clear - is it chaehyun or lowkey Xiaoting now
Pathetic line distribution
-Mashiro, Xiaoting, Bahiyyih paid dust in lines distributions (all they gotten are adlibs and short lines)
- dayeon get most of the lines (she is talented but please)
