Is "Expergo" the last chance for NMIXX to hit big ?

I don't think so. It will be harder for them to break through with upcoming girl groups. However, despite what many believe, they are gaining a ton of loyal fans with each comeback which is arguably more profitable. They just may peak digitally later compared to other groups. However, JYP isn't really focusing on the Korean market lately anyways.

I don't think there's ever a last chance. Any group can blow up for any reason.

That said, I do think it's unlikely they will be as big as their senior groups and feel like they might be JYP's WJSN.

Decently successful and have longevity but stay on that sort of third level of success after the big big groups.

No, there is no expiration date for an artist to have a hit song. The bigger problem for Nmixx will be that the group has been hard carried by Sullyoon, Lily and previously Jinny. Even if they hit big can you imagine the members have a solo career like for example the Blackpink members have?

There's no such thing as a last chance for a group so new. But with each uninspired release, it gets harder and harder for them to overcome the GP's apathy. They're no longer rookies

Big company groups already have privilege of having everyone's attention whenever they release songs. All they need is just good music.

True that, with NMIXX we really see the effect of Big 4 privilege at its best

No such thing as last chance. I put Stayc in the danger zone, a group that could get left behind by all the hype for gen 4.5 (NJ, Ive, LSRFM). But Sieun and gang definitely got the last laugh with Teddy Bear, which has slayed 2 of the 3 heads of New Jeans' Ghidorah (OMG, Hybe Boy, Dorito).

They are not from a nugu company. They'll get many many shots

their problem is not just music. Getting a hit song wouldn't change their fate drastically.

Gee was released at the start of 2009, while SNSD debuted in 2007.

Itzy rarely gets a good song that charts well, but they're still around, selling a lot and touring.

Nmixx will probably follow the same steps. Not the best, still good enough.

Itzy came out swinging though, at a time when 4th gen had just started and competition in that area was very low. They had some big hit songs and viral moments that only started waning when aespa debuted.

Nmixx didn't have that luxury and debuted in a much more saturated market, established competition and poorly received songs from the get go.

I could see them going off with a huge song like Brave Girls or OMG, but first impressions have become so huge in kpop. Groups really have to capitalize on their year or two of being the hot new group and NMIXX may have missed their window.
