Former LOONA member Chuu will be attending a hearing for compensation and punishment filed by Blockberry Creative.

According to reports on February 1, the conflict between Chuu and Blockberry Creative looks to be ongoing. The label submitted a petition to put a stop to Chuu's entertainment activities to the Korea Entertainment Management Association and Korea Entertainment Producers Association in December of 2022.

Blockberry Creative confirmed reports of their petitions to ban the activities of LOONA members.

On February 1, reports revealed Blockberry Creative was making plans to suspend the entertainment activities of Chuu, Heejin, Kim Lip, JinSoul, and Choerry, and the label has now confirmed the news. Blockberry Creative stated, "In December of 2022, we submitted a petition to the Korea Entertainment Management Association and the Korea Entertainment Producers Association concerning the ban on Chuu's entertainment activities. We'll be submitting a petition to prohibit the entertainment activities of the following 4, Heejin, Kim Lip, JinSoul, and Choerry, to the committee as well."

Lee Soo Man Did work with Loona on 2 Albums and had SM producers work on the last 2

Why would you do this publicly though?! This is the kind of thing you're supposed to do quietly.

Now LOONA fans will go even harder for Chuu. Not sure if BBC has the pull to actually fully have Chuu blacklisted, but I think Chuu could probably go independent if she wanted to. She could probably survive through that means, but her career will never be able to take off like it could have.

I honestly feel like BBC and Polaris don't have the backing though. Money is one thing, but connections are another. And the fact they are doing this publicly makes me feel like they don't have the necessary connections to really bury her or her career. If she can find a better agency, then she should be fine.

I never imagine bbc would end up pulling this, weren't they planning to debut a gg and bg ? What type of reputation will they be left after this ? Also did they think that they'll have the money and influence to pull this ? Because in the entertainment industry more than money you need influence to pull an Sm

What is wrong with this company? They aren't even trying to look like the good guys anymore, straight up foolish. At least everyone is on Loona's side, hopefully the court sees it that way aswell.

New information presented here: it seems like they are saying Chuu signed some kind of "pre-contract" with BY4M before her contract with BBC was officially terminated? That may make a difference in how this plays.

Nope. He just noticed Loona and produced songs for them 2 times. Doesn't matter tho, BBC subsidiary of Polaris entertainment -> has connections with arms trade and politicians.

while BC tries to ban activities for the members. the members should ask the judge to terminate their contracts too. it makes perfect sense. this will allow the gals to join other labels/agencies. if your company doesn't want to allow you to work and earn a living, then you should be allowed to go elsewhere. so simple.

They may have some luck with Chuu if it turns out she signed another contract before the BBC one was terminated. But the other girls they stand little chance as long as they don't sign anywhere until their contracts are fully nullified (I believe it's just an injunction at the moment)
