BTS Only ARMY are unfollowing Hybe on Youtube and BigHit on Twitter in bulk

Isn't the HYBE for all their artists though? Are they moving to BTS only channels? And what leftovers?? You got a moldy casserole in your fridge or something??

Meh I only follow two groups on that channel and ignore the rest. Never thought it was that deep to unsubscribe.

I already unsubscribed a long time ago so that Bangtantv surpass Hybe followers. Why are ARMYs just doing it now lol. Bangtantv is already higher than Hybe.

Folks can unfollow whoever they want but announcing it on socmed as if their decision in any way affects change of any sort is pointless and performative. They know they're not actually accomplishing anything but they get an easy pat on the back, a little bit of clout, and they can convince themselves that they're more important than they actually are. So the account goes from like 69 million to 68.8 million or something. You sure showed them! 🤡

I thought this was silly the first time it was done and I still think it's silly the second time around. I have no problem with people unfollowing for whatever reason they choose but the performative aspect irks my soul.

Weverse/hybe announced it last year but the event will be held in June 2023 (in time with BTS's 10th anniversary). It's the usual Hybe Labels concert but they changed the name to Weverse concert to include more artists (?) and the date from 12/31 to June.

I guess since it started off with HYBE having only BTS a lot of armys followed this channel. But for example no exol I know is subscribed to SM town… way too much content I don’t care about. It’s not some big statement or anything….. only ppl interested in a lot more of the company content will subscribe to the company channel and you’ll see that happen more and more.

all i can think about is hoping youtube flagging an unusual move, but youtube doesn't work like insta or twitter where the account get temporarily suspended from mass blocking/ unsubscribe. like literal sex offender jeffree starr's channel is still up and gaining money.

edit: BTS's official twt always retweets from Bighit twt if it's about BTS so it's not neccessary to follow them if you only stan BTS. I even unfollowed BTS_bighit twt for some time because all they did was tweeting about merch and it was getting annoying. Big BTS fan accounts are more helpful and informative than Bighit.
