Which girl groups, that you are a fan of, do you think might not survive this era much longer?

if the girls have seen enough kpop i can totally accept that.

why would they put out season greetings for 2023 if they disband a month later? Their actions and talkings dont fit. So i have a hard time believe in that.

Brave Ent on the other side shows all the signs of a company that have written them off.

Seems like we really jinxed it by speculating about WJSN here yesterday.

Today at their fan concert it seemed like they were saying their goodbyes and no usual 'look forward to our future activities' at the end. Most of them were crying too

That basically confirms that at very least some members are not renewing but it did seem a bit like they might just disband based on how it went down..

I suspect it's the members' own choice, so many of them have had acting/variety/musical gigs lately. They might be tired of idol life after 7 years. I really can't see Starship not wanting to continue with the group.

Hot Issue were S2's only act and they pulled the plug, only to debut a new group.

Differing circumstances otherwise, but groups can be pulled even though their the only group on the roster.

I still think they'll make to the end of their contract. But yeah I agree there is a general decline. Their fandom/selling power is at least decent though. Albeit that has decreased as well.

If OMG come back with a summer song they’ll do well again

Cherry Bullet and Nature, they've never done well really but all these new ggs smashing makes it seem even worse in comparison. Rica Rica in particular made me so mad like not only did it get them into a CA scandal it was also just plain horseshit

Most 2nd Gen groups are only semi active. They didnt disband. But they dont have daily group shedules. Its more like they occational reactivate for a comeback.

i honestly think its because companies spend way more on everything nowadays, especially the ones that actually want their idols to do well, so they end up far deeper in the hole and terminating the contract of the group is the only viable option. i think it is pretty obvious nowadays after a group's first year if they have the potential to blow up. people do not even check for groups completely under the radar for them to have a viral moment anymore.
