Do you remember the first group you start following before debut?

I'd say NewJeans, but I think they recognize July 22 as their debut and not August 1st, so It's like they never had pre debut.

The other groups I'm invested in I liked after debut.

I never really did that. I'm so old K-pop wise I'm used to only knowing the members once the music video comes out alongside the teasers/etc. I'm currently following a few pre-debut groups now though M.I.C & B.O.M

I knew purple kiss before their debut because they had appeared in videos with Hwasa and Solar. But I got really interested in them only with the pre-release songs. Usually I'm not too interested in these trainee stories, I know them vaguely but it doesn't interest me more than that.

The first group I followed pre-debut was P.O.P. It was unfortunately not a group that lasted very long, but they caught my interest as they were said to have been trained by people from RBW, Mamamoo's company, and they had some really good singers and strong performers among their members. Unfortunately, their debut song did not hit me right at all (nothing compared to their pre-debut performances), and then they disbanded shortly after. Second group was Purple Kiss, which is more recent.

Probably LE SSERAFIM cus of Sakura. I don't stan them though.

Mamamoo's pre-debut releases really got me hyped for their actual debut.

I think they worked for me because it was actual music, not just pictures or facts. I try not to get too invested in pre-debut activities just because the number of times I've seen people become stans and then backlash on the group for not delivering what they expected. (Look how angry people were over Step Back even though SME never said they were releasing a feminist anthem.)

Purple kiss did some pre debut songs that got me into them real fast

Cherry Bullet because they released some great covers like Into the new world and kinda Purple Kiss since I liked their two pre-releases : My heart skip a beat and Can we talk again.
