What is current Hybe? Are you including what BTS has done from 2018-2022? Or their literal current status which is temporary hiatus and only active solo releases?

In terms of kpop success, SM filled the kpop bubble with more successful groups during that era. They relatively monopolized the industry

For Hybe they have the highest peaking artiste, BTS , which will push them to have the biggest success of all time but they aren’t monopolizing the industry that much. A lot of groups not from Hybe are doing as well.

So in all it depends on the angle you see things from. I think I’ll go for Hybe seeing how none of SM groups can reach BTS peak success

You've mentioned that kpop market has gotten bigger so it's unfair to compare stats. However, is it really unfair considering that hybe (aka BTS) themselves is the single biggest reason for this expansion?

Bts is probably bigger than any group sm has ever debuted but if they're the strength of hybe then they're their weak point as well. Look at their stocks crumpling down after Jin's military announcement. GP trusts sm more, they're consistent.

SM. Well BTS is bigger than anything but the rets of Hybe groups listed cant compete the influence of SM groups listed. It was not only music but they were every where. Dramas, variety shows, ads... also they were not only popular as a groups members had also quite huge solo popularity
