For context
The New Idle comeback, the "X-File" Version has a scratched off "date", being May 2021. This is speculated to refer to their planned comeback before Soojingate.
Secondly, on that same cover, it lists the Member's names, but between Soyeon and Yuqi, there's a Red Circle "Prohibited" Sign.
So people felt all that was pointing to them hiding the "6th member" and it's Soojin coming back. Conveniently forgetting Soojin would be between Minnie and Soyeon, not between Soyeon and Yuqi.
So yeah. People going hard on the hopium.

Those rumors don't hold any ground. There's too much at stake for Soojin to return. IDLE are coming back from their most successful era, they and Cube aren't gonna take any chances now, however they'd like for it to be an option.
If Soojin ever comes back to IDLE, imo it will be for a farewell song or something like that; when the group has nothing to lose anymore.

I would not be mad at all.

I would be disappointed if she came back as if nothing had happened. The group showed a united and effective side. I think that's one of the reasons, they didn't really sing a solo song during the concerts (well, I see it like that. They want to show us : We're a band, we're together). There is a real coherence and chemistry. it would be hard to do it again, it would be wobbly. We avoid getting back together with an ex. But if Soojin goes solo (which she could do because promo level and waiting could be strong), I'll be happy that these former partners support her, or even that they do a feat or appearances in concert from time to time. But how are the relations between all the girls? Is there a feeling that the group is continued ?

Sunmi left Wonder Girls and came back. I would hope Soojin came back but Cube did her too dirty

Cube paid and supported her legal battle against the accusers, and the contract was only terminated once the police's decision there wasn't enough evidence to prosecute the accusers as having maliciously slandered Soojin, which meant no possible way to rehabilitate her public image.
I mean Cube (and honestly Soojin) fumbled the ball with some drastic ultimatum's early, but it wasn't like she was just hung out to dry, they fought for a year before pulling the plug.
Always funny to me - Cube handled some aspects early poorly and deserved to be criticized, but they get criticized the most for the part they did best - fighting all the way to the final decision.

can you explain to me what happened that caused her to leave and then her subsequent return?
Sunmi left in 2010 her studies ,Lim a trainee that was suppose to be debut in Miss A replaced her ,and debuted in WG in 2DT era. In 2013 Sohee left the group , 2014 SunYe left the WG. Sunmi came back to WG in 2015 with the remaining 3 member with a band concept and stayed with group until they disbanded in 2017

Jessica and Soojin situation are completely different. I could never see Jessica coming back, but now that Soojin has been proven innocent it's not 100% off the table in my opinion.

It's not happening, for anyone still delulu enough to think otherwise. You don't get kicked out of your group due to a huge personal scandal and then suddenly get invited back. Like Elsa said, let it go.
