Hello! So, as we all know by now, Ready For Love came out, and she bopped. She bopped hard, and more importantly (for this anyway), she looks stunning. Like seriously, it looks great. Anyway, the whole forum knows how much I love this song and the music video by now. I was thinking about potentially trying to get it an LE or two but wanted to check in with you guys first. This should be a fandom wide, agreed-upon consensus, so I wanted to talk to you about it first and see what you thought. We'll probably do the most popular choice.
Below, I'll discuss what I consider to be our main options, what they would look like and the pros and cons of each one. Please read everything entirely and very thoroughly before voting for anything. When I described what each option would look like, I tried to remain as neutral and unbiased as I could. For the pros and cons, I tried to keep them balanced on each option and not take any side clearly, but still explain why each choice could be a good or bad decision. I want you to make an informed decision that you think would be the best for everyone, as well as which option you would personally prefer. The options are ranked in order from most to least expensive in terms of how many akorns it would cost to buy/set up. Option 1 is the most expensive, while option 4 is free.
What It Would Look Like: We would get a full length LE badge for the music video. Member badges are a possibility as well. The cost would start at 950 per user, then reduce by ten akorns each time after we get more than ten people signed up, until it gets to 750 akorns, at which point it would not cost any less. Member badges, if any, would cost 700 at first, and after the first five users, reduce in price by ten akorns for each additional user that signs up, until they reach the minimum akorn price of 500 akorns. Because of the current LE rules we have in place, the earliest we could get a petition in would be October, and we would get the badges in November, which is a relatively long way from now.
Pros:
* If someone is poor or needs help with akorns, me and several other Blinks on here would all be willing to help out as much as we can.
* This is the only way in which we could get a long LE badge for the music video, or for us to get any individual members versions for this badge. This would be great to take advantage of due to how many aesthetic and gorgeous scenes are in the music video.
* Since it would be so far into the future, there would be plenty of time to akorn farm before then, and there would be one month of time between when the payment for the comeback LE's is due and when it would be due for these LE's, and that should be enough time.
Cons:
* This would be the most expensive option by far, especially if you wanted to have multiple versions of the LE badge.
* We would have to wait until October at the earliest to pay for them and get them by November, so a lot of patience and waiting would be needed.
* Since some Blinks did not enjoy the song as much as others, not everyone may be on board with this option of think that the song deserves this much.
* Some may argue that since this is only a song released with PUBG, and not officially released except for on YouTube, it does not deserve the same treatment as their other songs and albums which are officially released.
* I would be unable to host the LE event, as I do not have an akorn bank (I could ask to temporarily borrow someone's if for some reason it had to be me who did the event, but I don't know if that would work or be a possibility), so it would be up to someone else to do it for me, and I am unsure who to ask to do it for me.
What It Would Look Like: Because it is a shorter badge, to save time, we could petition for it as an extension of the current BLACKPINK comeback LE badges. Doing so would result in both paying for and getting these badges a full month earlier. This version of the LE badge would be half as long in length, so fewer scenes could be included. However, it would also be cheaper than a full length LE badge as well. We would need to petition for all members to get a shortened badge and get at least five supporters for each member.
Pros:
* Each member would get a shortened badge, there just wouldn't be a full-length LE badge for it.
* Me and some other Blinks would be more than willing to help anyone who needs help to afford the LE badges on time.
* We would be able to get the LE badge sooner because we could petition for it as an extension of the BLACKPINK comeback LE badges. This would mean we would get the badges a whole month earlier.
* I would not need to worry about finding someone else to do the LE petition for me. Because kittykitka is already running the BLACKPINK comeback LE's, and this would be an extension of it, she would most likely take care of it.
Cons:
* The badge length would be shorter, so not as many scenes could be included.
* We would only be able to get one LE badge for the music video, which would be a group one, with no different member versions as even a faint possibility.
* The LE payment would be due a whole month sooner, at the same time as the BLACKPINK comeback LE badges, so there may not be as much time to akorn farm.
What It Would Look Like: An album badge petition costs 10 akorns (but we only need four to five people to buy it). After that, the badge would be uploaded to the shop right away, not months away. The badge in the shop would cost 250 akorns.
Pros:
* It would cost the cheapest out of all the options that require akorns.
* It would be an option I could do by myself with minimal to no help, instead of needing to pester other Blinks to help me out.
* It could be updated to the shop almost right away in comparison, after only a few days at most, as compared to several weeks or months from now.
* Out of all of the options involving akorns, it requires the least supporters (only four, as opposed to ten or more, or five or more) to support it with their akorns, as is the cheapest to support (only ten akorns to buy the petition).
* LE's must be bought and/or paid for within a certain amount of time (such as before X day). Album badges do not need to be. If you would rather dedicate the akorns you currently have towards the BLACKPINK LE badges currently going on, or something else, an album badge would still be available to buy moths, or even years later, so you have all the time in the world to save up for one and buy it if you would like.
Cons:
* It would be a static badge, as opposed to an animated one.
* Because it is a song made with PUBG, I am unsure if it would qualify for an album badge (no harm in asking about it, but still). That means if we decided to go with this option, only to find out it wouldn't be possible, we would most likely end up with nothing.
What It Would Look Like: No album badges or LE petitions of any kind are made. People are welcome to make threads and talk about the song, but aside from that, not much would be done to celebrate it.
Pros:
* This would cost the least amount of akorns. Because of that, it would give users more akorns and time to save towards the six current BLACKPINK LE's, as well as the BLACKPINK badges we already have in the shop.
Cons:
* People that loved the song and really wanted something to be done for it may be disappointed.
So, after reading all of these, and weighing the pros and cons that will come with each one, consider which option you think would be best and vote in the poll. Don't be afraid to say what you honestly think, and I promise I won't judge you for it, no matter what. If anything, I'm kind of torn on which option would be best myself, so it's also okay if you don't know too. If I missed any potential pros or cons for any of the options, described something wrong or missed an option entirely, please let me know so I can update the post.
Also, as a quick reminder, if options one to three win, and you do not love the song, as much as your support would be appreciated, please do not feel as if you are in any way obligated to do so. Your akorns are yours to do with as you please. This reminder isn't meant to discourage you from buying any LE's, much less ones that you actually want, but just to let you know that it's not an obligation and you are no less of a fan if you either don't or can't. Be respectful and have a great day/night!
