Changed the title of the thread from “Can you name groups that did get left behind due to competition?” to “Groups that did get left behind due to competition?”. -

I have actually never heard of this group......
I would say Gfriend too. After Time For The Moon Night they had a hard time pumping out hits like they used to and keeping up with all the competition of the newly popular 4th gen girl groups
I felt fingertips kind of contributed to their decline

Itzy’s name when they’re the 3rd most streamed Korean GG, can y’all be serious for one minute.
Everglow in 2019 they were the most hyped rookie after Itzy, the international stats were good, their sales were not that bad in the 2019 climax, dun dun was really popular internationally but since La di da they haven’t recovered and now their sales are way too stagnant.

Secret Number. They were no top group but they had a lot of hype in 2020 and all of that just seemed to vanish in thin air after their first comeback. Their sales have always been bad, even their view/streams aren't what they used to be.
Things are changing after their OST tho, 1M Spotify Monthly Listeners. Hope this new comeback is a hit.

Idk, Fingertip wasn't the biggest hit ever but it did alright and their next comeback Love Whisper was a hit. Then Time For The Moon Night was a huge hit.

That's actually a really good example answering OP's question

I think LA DI DA actually did pretty decent. DUN DUN was just anomaly. Even after 1½ year LADIDA is still top 3 the most popular Everglow song. First and Pirate are the ones that drastically declined Everglow Spotify streams.

It's crazy but before feel my rythem a thread like this would have been filled with RV as the answer
II guess we can't really predict the full trajectory of a group.

Oh I thought fingertips completely flopped looking at the reaction of people.

Well if the only selling point was the group having bighit traniees that's not much.....

Golden Child got mid tier popularity in 2019-2020 due to Wannabe, but after Burn it it's kinda slowed down even though they're doing better album sales. They're still mid-tier, but other groups have debuted and stuff.
You read my mind!

I think Red Velvet took a hit in the sense that people gravitated towards newer groups, so they're not part of the buzz as often anymore. However, they remain a staple in the industry.

Obviously it was not only that

going to aim for big 3 jyp. if we are talkng about young group that never took off in korea and left behind, then itzy although they are still doing good in spotify. Their first full album flopped really hard in sk. And nmixx too. they came and went even though their sales are good. GG competition for 4th gen is very tough. There are just too many groups debuting. koreans said 3rd gen felt oversaturated too many groups but now it feels proper oversaturated to me with hybe being added and big 3 changing to big 4

Let's see how they do in sk this comeback. They can bounce back. 4th gen ggs seem to have the attention

Weeekly took a odd turn with concept change. 💀
Yeah… I’m not feeling the new concept as much, although I looked forward to it at first.
