So this was the boy group that promoted alongside The Pink Lady for the Korean production of Grease. I remember being kinda indifferent when the song came out but looking back, this is actually a nice pop song. They've got good vocals, the melodies are nice, and the chorus was catchy.

This group actually had a scandal during their short promotions. Mamamoo won on a music show and during their acceptance speech, the members were loud and reckless lifting each other up and being annoying in general. It's not a career ending scandal imo, but I bet their company made them react like this to get publicity. Anyways, I don't have any updates on the members now.

The Pink Lady were a project group created to promote a Korean production of Grease. This is an original song and they promoted on music shows just like a real group. Their vocals are super song and I love how sassy the song is.

The girl in the middle is a former member of Playback. I think she was technically still a member of Playback when she debuted with them, but they had unofficially disbanded around the time of her re-debut. She also competed on Miss Trot and did pretty well there. She is still active in the industry and seems to be doing okay. I do not know anything about the other members. I feel like under the right label she could have been very famous. I also think Playback just deserved better in general.

Everything about this is so cute. The members, the song, the video, everything. I think the short-haired memeber is especially adorable. I absolutely adore her facial expressions. I literally laughed out loud when she acted like a cat and swatted the book and got head scritches lol. I love cats! The song itself is definitely just as cute as the group and it fits them perfectly.

I do feel bad that the other members didn't get nearly as much screen time, but I can see why they put her front and center. This is another group I wish we had more from, but I'm still happy we have this.

So that girl with the short hair actually isn't a member. She is NC.A, a soloist and member of the project group Uni.T.

The Shorties were a trio who competed on the show Kpop Star 3 and they ended up ranking third place (#3 is very important to them I guess). It's a nice simple R&B song, again this sound was kinda popular in 2015 for Korea. As the name would imply, they're all very short (around 5 feet tall). Also NC.A is the actress in this video.

Sadly The Shorties didn't really release much music after this. They quietly went on hiatus for a couple years after this song. They all auditioned for Mix Nine. Only one member passed the audition but got eliminated early on. Inhye is involved in the industry behind the scenes. She records vocal demos and gives voice lessons now. Taekyung seemed like she was training to debut again, but never did. She got married last year too. I don't know what Juyeon is up to.

A girl group that doesn't have too much many making the most of their budget. If you like the girl group Favorite, this kinda sounds like something they would have released. I think they're all super pretty and I like their outfits a lot.

FAINIT members kpop profile (2025 updated) | kpopping

Sadly Fainit did not even last one year. After a couple months they unofficially disbanded after a family member of one of the members revealed the disbandment. One member is pursuing acting, everyone else kinda disappeared.

It's not the most hidden of hidden gems cause like I said, Bibi has built a loyal fanbase. However, it did not chart in Korea at all and the video only has a couple million views which isn't much at all.

Bibi is not underrated anymore and never really was in a huge way. She always had a cult following it seems. This was my favorite Bibi song prior to her big breakthrough. It's got such a pretty chorus and I love the electric guitar solo. It's one of Bibi's most public friendly songs imo. It's mostly melodic and isn't experimental like some of her stuff

Bibi continued growing in popularity. Last year she had a huge viral hit with Bam Yang Gang which earned not only her first music show win, but her first PAK. It then lead on to her winning a solo achievement award for 2024 at a year end ceremony. She's worked hard to get where she is and has pushed boundries in Korea. I hope she's here to stay at the top. Her last comeback was about a month ago.

I've wanted to do Lunafly on this series for a long time. They do a lot of acoustic ballads, but this was one of their more upbeat songs. If you like old B1A4 music, I would definitely recommend this song. I miss 10 years ago when Kpop groups had the worst fashion and looked like such nerds lol.

Lunafly lost their third member and spent many years promoting as a duo. Teo pursued an acting career after he left. Lunafly promoted until 2017 until they went on hiatus and they haven't done anything since. Yun has joined the failed Kpop star to musical star pipeline. He is also now in a group called D82. Sam, the biracial member, did a radio show for a long time. He kinda disappeared off the face of the earth though.

One listen and I was blown away. This is one of the most powerful Korean voices I've ever heard. Often times in Kpop we hear gentle sweet high voices, but she has the umph. It's hard to find much about her because her name is strangely stylized. It looks like Dovlvl but those are actually uppercase Is. I don't know what matryoshka means either lol. I think she got famous posting covers on YouTube and now she's releasing content as a soloist.

Cooing is one of the most underrated solo artists in the industry. She kinda reminds me of like Youha. Their styles are similar but they have this little flair that sets them apart from other solo artists in the industry. One listen and you'll be adding this to your playlist.

Review] COOING delivers one of 2022's best with “ONE LAST TIME” – Asian Junkie

Cooing has been very active since this release. Her most recent song was released last year and it's really good.

Younha is not underrated in Korea by any stretch of the imagination. She is regarded as one of the best singer-songwriters in the country. International fans don't really go for the ballads, so her fandom does not reach outside of Korea. Her voice is so powerful and this song gives anime power ballad.
