When was the last time this happened on the charts?

Yes so they are performing in a room live, and it gets projected on a screen that looks 3D
at least they doing it live. so they can interact with the audience.
i guess i prefer to watch idols in flesh and blood tho.
but i can see the advantage in such groups. its probably much easier to replace the artist in case they pull a newjeans.

omg... they are a virtual group. i have so many questions. how do they even have a fandom? are this real humans or bots? like how do they attend concerts and festivals or fanmeetings? do they make videocalls with their fans?
Virtual bands are actually really old.
At one point The Gorillaz, started in 1998, were one of the biggest groups in the world. They were 4 cartoon characters, but 4 real musical artists actually performing them. They toured, did concerts and festivals etc. They are also rad as all hell.

oh your right. i know gorillaz. i would not say biggest groups in the world. but my country was one of the 3 countries they group reached the top of the charts.^^ i even saw them mabye ten years ago. but they are several more real musicians who also change from tour to tour. the difference is that the musicians are known. but you are right. at the start they only had these comic figures on screens.^^
