I love the video for this song. I've seen first-person shots in an MV before, but never in a way that does so well at storytelling and seamlessly matches the lyrics. The little paper drawings are super cute too.

I must say that this song does the best job and blending the rapping and singing in a way that makes it sound good out of probably any song I've heard. Even when both are happening at the same time it works so well. I'm usually not a big R&B fan but I really enjoy this song.

So Rebel Heart is a song from this year actually. Super catchy and powerful chorus. It kinda sounds like the song I Am, so they might get plagiarism accusations. Surprised it didn't get an PAK for 600 hours

Miss $, not to be confused with Miss $, were an R&B trio. They actually did okay on the Korean charts, but it's difficult to find information on them for international fans because of their stylized name. Miss A will show up on search engines even if you type in Miss $. This was one of my favorite songs by them. The members all play supporting characters in the POV music video. I just think it's creative and nicely edited. The rappers are quite strong in this group and I like the vocals of Minhee.

Miss $ released one more song in 2016 after losing a member. Jace competed on Unpretty Rapstar season 1 and was added late to the competiton. Minhee competed on The Unit. Neither ended up doing super well on either shows. Jace got married awhile ago. Minhee has been pursuing a solo career doing ballads.

There's not much Ariaz content out there. Only one music video for their debut and two remakes of Jewelry songs. Jewelry's version was one of my first ever Kpop songs, I still love that song so much. So I was a little hesitant when i heard they were remaking it because the OG version is perfect. They did it justice though, I think their voices are powerful and there's this high energy in the song I kinda like. There wasn't ever a music video, the closest we got are these dance covers. Star Empire is a hot mess.

This ended up being Ariaz's last song before their quietly disbanded. Only Hyogyeong is pursuing music still. She changed her stage name to Heya and made her debut last year. She released a song a couple weeks ago.

Gyubin is a newer soloist who I've been liking lately. This song is fun to listen to as the weather has been warmer. She's not the most unknown soloist right now, but she should have more attention.

Lee Euijin is no stranger to this series. He is a former member of A.cian, BIGFLO, AND UNB. He got attention on The Unit for looking like Jimin of BTS. The ARMYs denied it but I definitely see the resemblence, especially in the smile. He is such a good dancer too, I always loved watching him perform on that show and all of his groups. This was a good solo debut!

Well all of his groups disbanded so he continued going solo. He hasn't released too much as a soloist, but his most recent comeback was about 5 months ago. So he is active still, I hope he can get the attention he deserves.

I can't believe it's been as long as it's been since my previous hidden gems. I've been so busy lately. I left off this series with a Lovelyz soloist, so here's another! Kei has such an amazing voice and a ballad like this is perfect for her.

Kei continued promoting with Lovelyz until their disbandment. The group has frequently collaborated together since disbandment and they even released a song for their 10th year anniversary. She also competed on Queendom Puzzle and made the final lineup for EL 7ZUP. Sadly, the group only released one song because the show underperformed. She has continued pursuing a solo career.

Another day, another underrated Lovelyz member song. It even has a somewhat similar vibe to Sujeong's Pink Moon from yesterday. Chill, lowkey citypop, lowkey retro. I wouldn't a song like this to dominate the charts, but it's a nice little song.

Yein has not made a solo comeback since this song was released, but she has made a comeback with Lovelyz to celebrate their 10 year anniversary.

Ryu Sujeong is former member of Lovelyz. Lovelyz has always had such beautiful and talented members, Sujeong is no exception. The aesthetics of this video are so gorgeous. I like the slight city pop/80s ballad vibes to this song. Just a nice chill song.

For a group from a small company, the budget for this music video is INSANE. I love the black lipstick, it's such an iconic look. And sometimes these anti-beatdrop choruses can kinda be a miss, but I like this one. It's just a very cool concept and a cool song.

UPDATE] PRECIOUS Profile, Comeback, New Song 2020

This was sadly the only song Precious released. It's not fair they had so much potential. They were technically alive for four years but didn't release any music, had lots of lineup changes, and officially announced their debut in 2024. Don't know what they members are up to nowadays.

So this was the boy group that promoted alongside The Pink Lady for the Korean production of Grease. I remember being kinda indifferent when the song came out but looking back, this is actually a nice pop song. They've got good vocals, the melodies are nice, and the chorus was catchy.

This group actually had a scandal during their short promotions. Mamamoo won on a music show and during their acceptance speech, the members were loud and reckless lifting each other up and being annoying in general. It's not a career ending scandal imo, but I bet their company made them react like this to get publicity. Anyways, I don't have any updates on the members now.

The Pink Lady were a project group created to promote a Korean production of Grease. This is an original song and they promoted on music shows just like a real group. Their vocals are super song and I love how sassy the song is.

The girl in the middle is a former member of Playback. I think she was technically still a member of Playback when she debuted with them, but they had unofficially disbanded around the time of her re-debut. She also competed on Miss Trot and did pretty well there. She is still active in the industry and seems to be doing okay. I do not know anything about the other members. I feel like under the right label she could have been very famous. I also think Playback just deserved better in general.

Everything about this is so cute. The members, the song, the video, everything. I think the short-haired memeber is especially adorable. I absolutely adore her facial expressions. I literally laughed out loud when she acted like a cat and swatted the book and got head scritches lol. I love cats! The song itself is definitely just as cute as the group and it fits them perfectly.

I do feel bad that the other members didn't get nearly as much screen time, but I can see why they put her front and center. This is another group I wish we had more from, but I'm still happy we have this.

So that girl with the short hair actually isn't a member. She is NC.A, a soloist and member of the project group Uni.T.

The Shorties were a trio who competed on the show Kpop Star 3 and they ended up ranking third place (#3 is very important to them I guess). It's a nice simple R&B song, again this sound was kinda popular in 2015 for Korea. As the name would imply, they're all very short (around 5 feet tall). Also NC.A is the actress in this video.

Sadly The Shorties didn't really release much music after this. They quietly went on hiatus for a couple years after this song. They all auditioned for Mix Nine. Only one member passed the audition but got eliminated early on. Inhye is involved in the industry behind the scenes. She records vocal demos and gives voice lessons now. Taekyung seemed like she was training to debut again, but never did. She got married last year too. I don't know what Juyeon is up to.
