best example is STAYC with RUN2U, technically speaking if not queen Taeyeon they would have at least 10 wins in music shows, still they've managed to get 6, and they are even now charting in top 10 realtime in all charts, but in terms of real groups, not project ones STAYC is only idol group which entered melon weekly chart top 10 in 2022

I think we have different definitions of competition

Eitherway,they'll be fine,especially if they manage to capitalize off of their succesful debut.The industry is big enough for these groups to co-exist.

unrelated, but what is up with kpop's obsession of not wanting to spend money on at least a mini

i remembered that debuts were highly anticipated because of the bsides, plus we'll get more idea of the group's discography

but now kpop is so bland because artists like to debut and comeback with single albums with like 1 bside, and even the bside is sometimes regarded as filler

i just hope that companies would not be stingy enough to not produce musics for groups especially 4th gen group

for example, gidle debuted with like 1 mini album and occasional single album, while lightsum debuted with a literal single album and comeback with ANOTHER single album like wth cube... step up

back to the topic, wonyoung will outslay everyone
