The title is misleading, this is just about success in Korea.
Korean endorsements are a good way to measure how big a celebrity is in Korea. Somi is bigger than most people think in Korea. Recent Korean endorsements: Converse, L'oreal, Kiss Me, Alba Heaven, Benetton, Samsung.
Sejeong is the more successful actress too

That's true but didn't her bullying scandal (that ended up being true) effect her film chances?
I feel like between each member of IOI:
Somi, Chungha, Sejeong are the undisputably most successful (different times).
Kyulkyung then ended up doing well in C-ent (although her reputation was destroyed and she's gained many haters as well).
Chaeyeon actually had a pretty big hiatus from idol life and now is starring in dramas. Frankly speaking, if she hadn't gone MIA for a year, she'd be up there with Kyulkyung or higher. The fact that her dad( according to rumors) had a huge conflict with MBK basically made her disappear for a while.
Mina as an actress is doing well, Doyeon's actress profile has also been looking up this year, but Doyeon gets a lot of money from ads/pictorals that probably make her one of the richer members.
I'd say Yeonjung is next maybe? Depends on definition of success. She's one of the most stable members, and WJSN has a good K-fanbase. I think WJSN and Yeonjung have the chance to blow up with Queendom. The reason why I've ranked her slightly lower is because she gets paid less, and has to film things like musicals and such alongside promoting with WJSN (musicals pay so much more) which has exhaused her voice. Her OSTs are doing quite well though.
I think Yoojung and Sohye, even though they aren't doing as great as their counterparts are still doing fairly well. Yoojung and Doyeon are on a ton of TV shows, have Weki Meki, and Yoojung has a lot of adverts filmed with the SWF girls like Aiki and Monika. Sohye was doing quite well in acting, but with her bullying scanfal, I'm assuming less of a public reception now.
Undoubtly the least-successful member of IOI is Nayoung probably :(. She was quiet for some time, was in a few musicals, but now her acting career is picking up. Probably not as big as Sohye, but getting there. The thing is that she released music but no one remembers:
The only person who dropped off the face of the earth could be Han Hyeri? She was more popular than Yeonjung during PD101, and initially got more CFs and fame as the 12th-almost member of IOI. There's a lot of allegations she was swapped out for another member since the votes were so close (by initial MNET whistleblower), but I don't think we'll ever know the truth.

I mean, not really. I'm not gonna argue whether the allegations are true or not, but her film/short drama with Na Inwoo still aired no problem, and she still has activities (doing a theatre play) for the last month or so.
Google trends is pretty good for comparing popularity as well (especially for worldwide). It takes into account the English and Korean character names.
Why have you limited this to only one year?
Internationally, Somi outdistances the rest, Chungha would be the second.
In S.Korea, Somi, Chungha and Sejeong lead - it fluctuates based on their latest activity.
In any case Mina is not the most successful, international or local, acting or singing.
As someone mentioned, sejeong and Chaeyeon have more success in acting and if It wasn't for her controversy, Pinky would be included too because the money she makes in China>>>

The worst is the rumor saying she tried to sabotage the female lead in some drama she was part of, and since the other actress is respected and has a big fandom,
she pissed off a lot of people
