I was thinking about it, bc in the past 2 months things were happening to Stray Kids that weren't before..
- Christmas EveL single album on Barnes&Noble
- Spotify deal with a few special CE cds to american fans
- AM deal
- iHeartRadio feature on Christmas special
- Zach Sang show interview like they did to promote their 1st tour and english releases 2 years ago.
- A couple of others english interviews.
It doesn't seem special, but for SKZ who were receiveing any west push was scaring me 
if their next comeback is on their anniversary, it will be a Friday

Good for the groups although it should have been done earlier!
I can't tell you if republic is great or bad, I've seen onces complain and for now we moas are okay with them but at the beginning we had to push for them to promote at least online.

It means they have distribution rights across US, a very big company to promote them and pretty much do what Twice did with "The Feels"
Forget the Feels, it's a good song but not THAT good.
Twice needs to get a real hitmaker like Ryan Tedder again, Cry for Me was Twice's best song since WIL at the time it was released, although Scientist is also coming on strong.

People really overstate the impact Republic can have and have had.
Using Itzy as an example - what don't they have that Twice do?
Itzy have performed on US shows and had actual interviews. They got to the top 20 on Billboard 200, so they definitely have good distribution in the US. That's not Republic dependent.
When Republic partnered with Twice early 2020 I was interested to see what they'd bring but their first real move to stamp the partnership was getting involved in Twice's title tracks, which led to the tragedy that is More and More. One of the worst eras I can think of as a Twice fan for multiple reasons. Hamfisting in western contributors that don't know the group or the members well leads to that.
All I can think of is the English single, but really that success came in the long run and down to the song itself. A song made by Collapsedone who has been working with JYPE and Twice for years. The promo leading up to the release was poor, its peak streams in the US on Spotify didn't reach Feel Special or Alcohol Free despite being a Friday release at a time to maximise spotify streams to chart high and being standalone. It performed more like a sleeper hit due to Japan. They paid for some playlisting and radio (and probably a hundred youtube video interviews with western channels that no-one but fans watch as they are mostly poor) but that had nothing to do with the song debuting on the Billboard 100, it was pretty much all down to sales. The songs biggest impact was still in Japan, a country they have zero to do with when it comes to Twice.
Being with Republic will make things easier for the company no doubt, but if JYPE wanted to they could do most things Twice have done since they joined anyhow. I've disliked the direction Twice have gone in since joining with them so my post will definitely be pretty biased but I struggle to think of the unique (that a US label would bring) and good things they've done.
