Weeekly has a hit song. After School is surprisingly big. StayC would be the best choice for the rookie group, but Weeekly is second best. Kep1er and Ive are too new.

True, a lot of Korean insiders mentioned Dreamcatcher as one of the groups MNET was looking at. The reason why is that a lot of male/casual fans are leaving kpop and venturing into khiphop/k-rock. Thats why the bgs with the most male fans (like Bigbang) followed those patterns. Dreamcatcher has very unique music that could be a hit but also a massive miss to the traditional Kpop viewer. So it's 50/50 on them -- considering they don't have a win I doubt BUT I wouldn't be surprised if MNET bent the rules for their own reasons.

Honestly i would love dreamcatcher to go to queendom. They could give solid performances. I don't think they'll break into mainstream completely but their fanbase could grow a lot. But having no wins is a barrier.

Somi is very unlikely (Teddy having one of his artists compete on a Mnet show?), but Somi has final say in her career and she has a history of defying her label to go on an Mnet competition show (she forced JYP to get her on P101 like two weeks before the show started filming).

An IOI sub unit with just Chungha and Somi would be strange, but if they could get three more members that would be huge for the show, and appropriate for Queendom's concept. It would still be strange considering Yeonjung would be on the WSJN team, but maybe that's just bonus drama for the show.

If Itzy is on the show, then ITZY vs. Somi would generate a huge amount of buzz as well, and an IOI sub-unit with Chungha and Somi is one of the only groups that could realistically compete with Itzy.

From Mnet's perspective, an IOI sub-unit would be perfect for the show, but hard to actually make happen. Doyeon, Yoojung, Chaeyeon and Nayoung are the only members that would likely join aside from Somi and Chungha. Sejeong would be good for the main vocal since they can't get Yeonjung, but I think she has a drama coming soon (but maybe they will be done filming by then?).

Somi has been teasing "huge news" recently, and it seems a bit early for another single... so maybe. But she did it on Western promo "First we Feast", so it's probably Western-related.

If Mnet have some self-respect for the competition aspect of the show... Itzy, Ive and Kep1er shouldn't be on the lineup

Why is CLC being mentioned? Their contract is up for renewal before Queendom 2 airs. They won't exist as a group.

Lightsum has a good chance to appear since a Cube group appeared on Q1 and BTOB was supposedly pressured into appearing on Kingdom by MNet after they initially declined.
