SNS hype not equal to success

i mean, Loona is a weird example because “stan loona” was a deliberate social media campaign that i’d argue we very rarely see. People were purposely writing it in non-kpop spaces to promote them.
For example, my friend will sometimes hear things about BTS, but that’s due to ARMY being so large and fans being everywhere, so ofcourse their was some overlap in other internet fandoms not related to kpop
(not army doing it on purpose)

sns hype can lead to success if capitalized at the right time

LOONA has a perfect discography and we don't know what its point of exposure will be, the bad thing is its extreme fans, but without coming from a big company, having dedicated fans can become a future success because what its fans lack is better organization . Although if your company is constantly changing its distribution, there will be no stability or connection networks.

Agree with this. I used to think that secret number is one of the biggest group for the fourth generation because of all the hype they get from social media. But turn out, they're not.

what's that?

what's that?
A Philippino boy group, even I know, although I'm far from PH.

Are they famius in many countries like BTS?or just fans active on Twitter?
They're not famous, I just know them because their fans tried to win the Billboard Social 50 award recently and fought with ARMYs.

In their home country, sure? Apart from that I don't think many people internationally know them. Even in PH, a lot of people were voting for them because of the PH pride and stuff more than actually liking their music and stuff.

Ohhhh... But there's no more paper award right?
