KAI - Peaches Album Review

I need to listen to more and digest but for now this is how I feel

Peaches; dreamy, smooth, easy to listen to type of song and he sounds very good. The song flows very well I like the intro it gives a mysterious vibe

Vanilla; it's similar to peaches; slow, sensual, minimalistic. This song is a vibe

Domina; is a skip for me. I am not a fan of how he changes his voice it sounds forced. And I am not a fan of beat driven tracks in general. Peaches and vanilla also can't be considered very dynamic but they flow well on the other hand domino sounds repetitive

Come in; I love the verses a lot. How he sings prechorus is everything

And I also like 2nd part of chorus. But I have mixed feelings about the first part of the chorus; the voice effects I mean. I wish he did sth different but it doesnt nother me that much, I can ignore. Overall I can say I enjoy this track a lot

To be honest; the chorus is my fav part it has a nice melody

But the beat sounds a bit repetitive I am not a big fan of trap

Overall I like it

Blue; is one of my favourites. The instrumentals and melody are so beautiful. His voice as well of course

I love his high note and the dynamics of this song

There is trap again but it doesnt bother me much

Still why

THE ENDING OMG WHERE WAS THE PIANO HIDING IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL I WISH IT WASN'T ONLY AT THE END

Overall this album is a vibe sensual, laid back. The instrumentals are minimalistic and his voices is so pretty

Other than Domino no skip for me

But I must say I kinda hoped for a more dynamic and rich track like Ride or die. And at some parts I am frustrated with trap elements. I also had this problem with Lay

Do I still love it more than 99% of kpop releases this year hell yeah

4. Come In

The distortion in the intro is so good. I love the vibe of this song. The Chorus is so good... It's straightforward but something about it hits hard everytime.

The bridge harmonies are killing me. So good.

It's fun, definitely my favorite till now... I am firm believer that B-sides cannot be title tracks but this one is an exception.

This is all i came here for. Taste. I listened to it last night, and surprisingly Come In in the only song i added. A bit let down from how much i liked the 1st mini (and just my overall standards for SM). Only went thru one playthrough tho so peaches might be added, but didn't vibe well with any of the other songs.

I agree with your conclusion, it is at the same level of Kai even though I had thought this effort has fallen behind after the first listening but the more you listen to it the better it gets.

I love all songs so far and Domino hits a soft spot as it reminds me when Kai used to take on some rapping on EXO early songs. Blue, Vanilla, To be honest and Come in are also good. Peaches has grown a lot on me and so has the video.

All in all, this is an album for Kai the vocalist and he shines.

A question, am I the only one who thinks Vanilla and Blue sound similar-ish?

The first few seconds sound very similar. Vanilla has more instrumental though. Both are beautiful.

Peaches is a vibe. Great!

Vanilla, TBH and Come In are the coolest songs of the album. Vanilla being 100% my type 'cause of the experimental factor.

Domino is a pass. Doesn't fit the atmosphere of the album imo.

Blue is good for a late night playlist. Nice lo-fi-ish Instrumentals.

Better than KAI? I don't think so, but it's an excellent album on its own way.

I love the album. My favorite songs are Come in, Domino, and Peaches. Then the rest lol

Personally I feel like this album is closer to me then Kai. I liked that too but the style of this is so good.

The mini-album is great. Vanilla is on repeat for me. It is one of my favourite musical releases this year.

I saw some people saying Peaches is boring song but I just don't understand what they mean. It's perfect title track with perfect choreography.

To be honest is masterpiece and I knew from mood samplers that it's gonna be my favorite.

Kai definitely did amazing with this album. His vocals have improved a lot and HE simply owns the mid-tempo R&B. He's killing it.

For me, Peaches is my fav song on the album, I love everything about it. Compared to Mmmh, Peaches is more of my style.

I love the rest of the songs equally especially Blues, To Be Honest, Vanilla and Come In.

Domino sounds a lot different from what I'm used to getting from Kai, it's experimental and fun which and that makes it interesting. His low notes are to die for.

I love this album much more than the 1st.

Everything gets boring if you dp it conservatively, except pancakes

Depends on the person listening to as well. I, for one, can't loop chill songs over and over. However, some people can.

I am also not the biggest fan if chill songs but to my suprise I like this one. Everything is enough here.

I usually likes songs in which something happens all the time. Wolf and Obsession for example

I like Come In the most I think.

To be Honest is good too but i'm not that fond of the chorus.

Peaches is growing on me a lot.

Overall, his first album is better imo, this one is very nice to listen to but it lacks really outstanding tracks (Kai was PACKED with them).

I'm praying for a more fast paced song for his next comeback. Peaches and Mmmg are cool but it's time for a change.
