Why is brand reputation ranking given so much importance if the list is made by only one person?

Even media outlets that use these metrics provide disclaimers that it is not a measurement of group's popularity. Kpop fans however still cite this to boost their faves.

It's not just one guy lmao. It's an institute which also makes a lot of other lists regarding brands not just kpop. http://www.rekorea.net/ The guy was one of the people who work there.

Among some exceptions like J-Hope one, the index is decently consistent but I wouldn't put much faith in it. You can correlate the data with google trends and naver trending and you will see it's not random. It's taken too seriously by some kpop stans though.

Bacause some people are hard pressed in accepting the truth.

This ranking is weird ngl. Example is, group A is higher in group B in let’s say girl group brand ranking but in singers brand ranking group B is higher than the group A. How is it possible?

It's not important. Unreasonably, if Jungkook is falling rather than rising even at the most talked about times, it is showing how unreliable this list is. It has already proven to be easily manipulated. Taehyung has almost never dropped from the top three on this list for almost two years, but I never celebrated it because I know how fans spammed their name to get it up the list, just like other BTS members' fans or other idols fans do.

Because kpop fans live in an endless dick size contest
