Not if she's leaving because she wants to act. And SNSD have only gotten together once in the past 8 years, so that isn't a reassuring comparison anyway.

Sad to see her go, but she made a great journey as a RV member.

I'd like to point out that the fandom wasn't really fond of her when she first made her debut with the group and she was always the least liked member. I hope she finds success in this new chapter!

Well, I would not have guessed, but I also don't follow RV like I used to.

Good luck to her. 3rd gen GGs so far has only seen 1 successful actress to somewhat match Yoona, Suzy, and Hyeri in star power, and that's Sejeong.

Maybe Yeri can be the next one.

People think Wendy is leaving because she hasn't renewed her contract, has been beefing with SM for a while now and refuses to perform at SMTown.

If Yeri is leaving, which appears to be the case, it's most likely to go into acting. She could theoretically continue singing somehow, but her idols days are likely over, as she has been dealing with spinal injuries for the past couple years.

BTS are actually friends with other kpop idols with or without their company. Jungkook seems to have no problem speaking about Jaehyun being his friend, Jimin is good friends with Taemin and I believe is friendly with Kai too. J-hope only recently did a challenge with Karina and Taemin.

The reality is that BTS market themselves as being separate from kpop since they started promoting in the west. When they took a hiatus and stopped with active group promotions they became far more open in their interactions with their idol friends. Jimin collaborated with Taeyang and Suga had him on his show. BTS since 2017 hadn't even acknowledged Big Bang.

So I don't believe Wendy collaborating with Jin has anything to do with her leaving SM. It has more to do with BTS being more open in their idol association (which they shunned before for western promotions and image building) now that their priorities have shifted.

I had a feeling it might happen. I'm happy for them if they felt like it's the right decision and hope they will succeed in whatever they plan to do next!

I somehow got used to some idols leaving the company after half of SNSD left, but it's still a bit sad and bittersweet. It feels like Happiness and ICC were relased only a few years ago  

Anyway, I wish them lots of luck and hope that Wendy will release more solo music, because I love her voice! I expect they might come back as a group for some big anniversaries and maybe the remaining three members will function as a subunit, like Oh!GG.
