Well, i wasnt complaining about it just stating fax. XG literally is a carbon copy of NJ but that doesnt mean their music is bad. On the contrary, their music is actually superior to NJ.

NJ has one bop so far, OMG which is a 9 out of 10. XG has three bops, which means XG has a better ratio of bops to flops/blops.

I'm hesitant to compare anyone to IVE or Lesserafim, mainly because there's really nothing unique about the concepts/aesthetic of either of those groups. They're both just copying tons of groups from previous generations. NewJeans, while also not actually unique in any way, at least has a claim to reigniting a particular trend, whereas "girl crush" never died. And yes, I'm already sick of all these new groups copying them so blatantly. Someone needs to close the NewJeans assembly line.

"Girl crush" is hardly inspiring, but at least it provides a less stringent blueprint to follow. Practically everything that isn't a NewJeans clone is "girl crush" just on account of it casting such a wide net (and the fact that no one wants to be cute or experimental anymore.)

Well .... girl crush has two different types: Dark Girl Crush (BP, Aespa, Le sserafim) and Teen Crush (which is more youthful and colorful)

The influence/inspiration sphere will change over the years, and something might be said about NewJeans' flavor of fresh girl-next-door becoming an influence for other girl groups.

Defining IVE's style as chaebol girl crush, I didn't see that one coming.

Aespa's change of music is easy to explain, the entire SMCU thing with AI as a concept being dominant, that was a Lee Sooman thing, his vision and enterprise. With him gone, of course that whole path went down the drain as well.

Tbh the only 4th gen group where I clearly see music influence over others is NJz, it's unreal how big they became in kpop and how their success was copied so many times by so many companies.

To some extent I also see Aespa influence, more than music wise I see it concept wise. There are teasers, outfits, etc where Aespa is written all over it, but it's another group.

So in conclusion you are all wrong

The denialism is a bit funny but to be expected. Similar to now, early 4th gen was filled with complaints that BP was ruining kpop because everyone was doing girl crush...and people refusing credit BP for repopularizing the concept. But now that it's over, we can all acknowledge it.
