Starship under fire for copying MHJ and NJ marketing strategy

Didnt need to get this deep into all the marketing and promo to recognize that Kiii is a copy pasta just like most of the other 4.75 gen groups we've seen so far.

Just watched the prerelease single and listened to the song, it's literally NJ visuals/vibe with Illit sound.

Bad publicity still is good publicity. It's clear that njs was behind the inspiration for kiiikiii but kiiikiii genuinely feels like their own thing too. All this controversy is doing is giving more exposure to kk and make ppl check out the group

Only the marketing is a little similar everything else is a stretch imo! The songs are very different vibes and even the members give off different auras! NJZ give off girls next door but KK give off hippy spirited

that's a good point, maybe this is just a new marketing strategy. Make it seem like you are plagiarizing NJs to draw attention to your new group. Illit are the pioneers.

As a devoted tokki who was once an orbit and has been a silent blink for years… we need to shut up like stat. If enough people think your fans are annoying, even if its justifiable, eventually the group takes a hit

That is precisely why tokkies are annoyed. If it was exact copy paste they would cancelled so fast, but because they're still different enough, people are interested in them regardless of controversy. It's not similar to illit when you could notice the intent right away and ironically tokkies were the ones denying it. I must admit, starship is being too bold with this GG. They're too confident for pulling stunts like these, and I'm intrigued too. I have a good feeling about this GG and I usually predict things really well. I predicted illits downfall even before their debut bsed on only their predebut information. But in kks case it all depends if their debut song sucks, then their hype will die real quick. K-pop fans are unforgiving to groups of mid tier companies so I guess that's why sse is being so audacious. They don't have much to lose

Are the annoyed Tokkis in the room with us?

It's strange how I'm reviewing conversations in the NJZ discord server, subreddit and timelines of the most followed Tokkis on twitter/X, and I'm having a hard time locating the annoyed Tokkis you speak of.

People, the dead horse is crying for mercy from beyond the grave at this point.

Groups taking inspiration from NJZ is flattery, not an insult. A company stealing the literal planning documents from OG ADOR and creating a new group using the literal NJZ formula, without consent from any of the creatives responsible for it, and then debuting the group to compete with their own labelmate, is completely different.

That's not even mentioning the gaslighting and scumbag behavior from BeThief Entertainment, like getting caught following a NJZ anti account on twitter, releasing that idiotic video making gross statements about NJZ's concept and even demanding Hanni apologize, even though she never named anyone in her infamous "ignore her" incident.

Give it a rest.

Well MHJ explained it perfectly when talking about Belift plagirizing them. It's ok to be inspired on other groups like everybody has always been, but once Hybe themselves copied their own group everybody was going to do it. Some groups copy the aesthetics, some others the album designs, some others marketing like the website, some others the promotion strategy... It's undeniable at this point and it's exhausting.

This is bad for the groups who will receive undeserved hate because of their incompetent staff, bad for the fans that will be involved in fanwars since day 1, and bad for Kpop as a whole because they're killing creativity and just copying the strategy that worked the best in the last years, but no one really bothers to try something new.

I insist I hope the group doesn't receive hate but the company who is behind all this, but it would be appreciated if the kpop community could start to acknowledge that bunnies were right when all this issue started last year.

anyway, it's a mix of (heavy) inspiration from an ONGOING and young gg, AGAIN. with another HEAVY sprinkle of riding NJS wave with all this copying 'controversies'. a bad buzz is still better than nothing i guess.

someone already point out that illit were pioners in that strategy and they were right! then came the izna mini stunt, then h2h on a much lesser extent, but this starship stunt?? feels like another hybe typa freaky move if you ask me . just less nefertarious and evil but creepy, shameless and pretty nasty regardless .

and the worst in all of that, is that the ogs are fighting the biggest company out there just to be able to put out their music and promote in peace .

you didn't start it, but I see bunnies just going with the flow to say "oh, another group copying njz" ..... Please, they released a pre release song that has 0 connection to njz sound, let them debut!

The only thing I'm saying in every thread is that NJZ will be the greatest and most influential girl group of all time when it's all said and done. Why would I be upset over evidence of said influence?

Also, I'm in, at most, two KiiKii threads and one of them is MY thread, wherein I barely mentioned NJZ.

I need to see proof these shady comparisons originate from our fandom. Otherwise, keep my fandom's name out your mouths
