Male SM GG Stan seems to be the average kpop reddit user. 
Reddit kpop is really filled with GG Stan’s and SM Stan’s in particular no wonder I hate that place

No for example there are more BTS Stan’s than any one GG Stan’s. Reddit upvote downvote mechanism silences other voices which is what makes it a toxic place.
Here you can have a hit thread with BTS or EXO but you can never do so on r kpop type of place.

I tried going on reddit and I was just so confused half of the time in every kpop community. There's a lot of girl group stans on AKP too (basically no boy group stans at all) but I think we have a little bit better discussions that don't evolve into stupidity or we usually have people that are the voice of reason more. IDK if that makes sense.

Yeah “BG STANS” are rare meaning people who listen to many/most BG’s. Whereas it’s opposite for GG’s, if you like one GG it’s very likely you listen to many GG’s.

You guys think everyone outside of the allkpop forum is annoying
not all kpop in particular but I like forum board type of places more in general for all topics. Imo it’s a more balanced place yes than social media or reddit.

What I dislike about the upvote/downvote system is that It is completely anonymous. I mean, you are already an anonymous on Reddit, but It gives you another layer.
Look how It works here, everyone can see who "liked" or "facepalmed" a comment. It gives a lot of users some control about what and how they will react, cause they don't want to be mocked for facepalming something out of pure bitterness.

Despite everything this site doesn't allow graphic sexual comments towards idols so it's more pleasant to browse for me. Although I doubt it's anything besides keeping advertisers pleased since this is the same place that broke and posted the Ailee pictures once upon a time.

Despite everything this site doesn't allow graphic sexual comments towards idols so it's more pleasant to browse for me. Although I doubt it's anything besides keeping advertisers pleased since this is the same place that broke and posted the Ailee pictures once upon a time.
Well... I have seen some users say some dirty stuff, but I guess it is not as bad as the stuff that is said on the other website.

The main site and forum are not the same and do not overlap. This is a moderated forum. So not sure what you’re “being real about” other than being confused what a forum is.

I don’t necessarily agree with the purity culture among kpop fans either esp on places like twitter.
There’s middle ground and that’s forums imo.

Reddit is always worse, possibly just because of the sheer size that makes it harder to moderate. Akp flopping to a slug pace keeps things clean albeit boring

Not particularly. It’s not about the type of opinion. Reddit as whole is about having “popular” opinion which makes it bad by design.
I’m not saying AKP always has great takes or isn’t filled with trolls. Just that there is opportunity for multiple voices to be heard without being silenced.

I don't know but X twitter stans are quite funny. When there's a blackpink achievement you see army all in the comments downplaying it and vice versa.
So immature but in a way it's funny I don't mind a bit of banter it doesn't hurt my feelings. I can't comment on redding Ive not seen stuff from there.
But apparently guys there copied our thread ideas smh.
