Rather than their visuals themselves, isn't it much more about their companies, their group and individual popularity that's the problem here?
Someone mentioned it, but JYP has always been ass since Suzy.. they've had pretty faces like Twice Tzuyu, Itzy Yuna but fans always complained about how they're underutilised and what not, Sullyoon is no different.
As for the other ones like Yeonwoo, Sohee and Sua, it's much more about not being under a Big 3 company like Suzy or Yoona are. I would argue there's plenty of pretty visuals who would gain a lot more popularity if they were under a Big 3 with the spotlight on them, and having people actually checking their groups out, rather than the mob mentality of just stanning and following big groups.

I don't think it's necessarily their looks. It's their lack of animation when it comes to facial expressions. I'm not dissing or criticizing them, by the way. Not everyone is meant to be super animated when expressing.
In contrast, look at Wonyoung. She puts in effort to exaggerate her expressions, so it makes her more appealing for things like CFs and MC gigs. That resonates with the audience more.

lmao, no. They are both popular for reasons that are not related to Kakao's involvement. Not that there's no help there.
I think the simple answer is that looks aren't everything. The biggest difference between the likes of Yoona, Suzy, Jennie, Wonyoung, Karina and those that you have mentioned is their personalities. The ones that get popular are not just good looking, but they have really engaging personalities that attract fans.
The few that have more mysterious/reserved/cold personalities need to have overwhelming looks to reach that stratosphere of popularity. I suppose almost seem untouchable?
Irene, Tzuyu for example. I think Sullyoon probably fits in this category, but as someone posted JYP doesn't do individual promotions well.
Personally, I just don't think those that you have mentioned are as good looking in all honesty. Like the difference between an 8.5 and a 9+ if you get what I mean.

It never really had anything to do with JYP. Suzy went huge after Architecture 101 and her career took off from there.
