actually I have so much faith in new jeans, so much so that I am not afraid to say that I know jungkook will beat out new jeans, but they will still remain on top even though they will lose because they never really lost in the first place, even though they will still be beaten out by jungkook and zero base one, I know they will dominate because I know they will win even if they are far behind while still being far ahead, I really believe in them so much it's really the truth, but we don't have to worry about itzy because we know where they will be, flop nation, right beside new jeans. but they will come out on top. they will. #realtalk #newjeansnation #daebak

The charts are packed atm. Let's see, NewJeans and Super Shy about to block themselves if anything. PAKs might be harder since EXO, ZB1, NCT Dream fanbases are really strong atm. Given that JK will be a big competition everywhere. Itzy is unpredictable but I'm positive they will do well this comeback. NJ other titles ETA, Cool With You dropping on July 21st which means leave them at least a few spots on top 20 lol for the whole album.

Jungkook is my Golden Maknae too but the way BTS' solo releases have gone so far with none getting over 220k ULs and falling out of charts at warp speed...i think if you're a Hybe stan, you're gonna have a bad time next month, we will be seeing Army vs Tokki fighting like crazy with other stans egging them on.

I'm actually wondering wtf Hybe was thinking putting JK against NJ. Literally ONLY bad things can come from this. If NJ wins as expected, Army are gonna be pissed and tons of antis will be using NJ as tokens to shade the fugg out of JK/BTS even more calling them over the hill, has beens, cant beat rookie girls, all soloists are flops and have no name recognition with GP, etc etc.

And if JK pulls off a shocker and beats NJ, boy oh boy, you're gonna have MYs, Fearnots, Dives, Nevvies lined up around the block to make fun of NJ, saying they've lost their luster, they're going downhill, saying how all their faves ended Suga/RM/Jimin/Jhope/Jin in the charts but that NJ couldnt do it, etc etc. It will be a credibility blow to NJ to not be able to dominate the way Ive and Idle dominated the past couple months even against Jimin and Suga.

It's a no win situation.

As for Itzy, i just feel bad for the girls. They could get swallowed up like my girl Yena did when she came back right into the teeth of NJs debut.

As for ZB1, no one is expecting #1 out of them, so i think they might be ok. They have a massive fandom already, they could reach top 10 in Melon Top 100 as counterprogramming to the NJ invasion. It will be good enough.

Jungkook playing field is on international side. Im sure army's are more focus on His Spotify Charting and Hot 100 and Billboard 200 ranking. Zerobaseone is the most anticipated debut this year but im sure theyre not touching that top 1 spot on Melon or any digital charts, a top 50 is already considered a success for them.

Anything can happen in kpop, look at NJs.

I would favor NJs at this time, as MJH most probably has a stockpile of very good songs for the next couple of comebacks and she has the best feel on what the general Korean public currently like.

Jungkook just recently said last Saturday that he will talk to the company about doing offline events so he's album is not yet finalized.

I mean, considering NJ's popularity, I definitely think that they will win the July comeback war long term, but I think many other artists will shine as well.

Each groups should be held to different goals to see if they can succeed, ITZY has to chart well this time to show that Cheshire was a one time thing, ZB1 has to chart to show BGs can still be cared about in Korea. As a Zerobaseone stan, I don't think they're competing with other groups for now, their challenge is to debut with a good song to mantain their hype and be included in top bgs discussions. Like other user said, a top50 is a win for them. Gp isn't interested in bgs at all, we can't expect them to have a hit at debut when no 4th gen group was able to make a hit even after 4 or 5 years.

I think New Jeans will win the battle because NJs are the most trendy GG rn and Ador is smart, they're going all out with promo plus good songs.

For Jungkook, probably not his album but his pre-release song will join the war. The outcome will depend very much on the song because I'm pretty sure it will be in English and more pop-ish than other members' releases. we'll see.
