Many groups have this issue. One I can think of is MCND. They barly sold anything altho they were the 2nd most watched rookie boygroup of 2020 and this is a thing that happens to many idols and groups

the song is ok but not good enough
the MV is only interesting because of Sohee screentime
the rest of the members is filler addition
their stage presence as a group is lack of charisma

Sohee alone can't carry the whole group

that's so sad.....I get it if itis like nugu vs big4 like 100k vs 1 million copies.. but 1000 doesn't even pay bills.... after factoring all other expenses involved in a comeback....

But, as much as it is their company's duty to market the album, I'd say that it's kinda hard if they didn't stand out in the waves of 4th gen ggs...

I'll take CSR as my example.

They had many content deals with 1theK, and it really helped them in introducing their music to the industry (this in tandem with their music identity).

bunch of varieties, bunch of performances, and I think the other thing that helped them is their company promotes them from one university to other. They are doing the old days offline promotion.

(wjsn also doing this offline uni/street promotion in their rookie era)

Idk, Sohee could have escaped Alice to pursue a solo career when they switched companies, but she didn't. She still stuck with them. I think it's the company constantly putting the spotlight on her because she's the one who goes viral.

i really enjoy the girls' voices and their songs from previous albums but this song like dance on is very mid

its not bad or anything, its just not interesting to me.Ill continue to stream their previous songs though
