SM has certainly taken the ego hit. But in reality, I doubt fans will notice too much difference. Maybe some small things here and there, but there won't be drastic changes.

The term Big 3 has lost its value since BTS blew up.

Ofc Big 3 stans can keep it if it hurts their pride but it doesn't matter much anymore in this day.

SM needs to do the right thing and allow Shinee a U.S concert tour later this year.

I hope folks realize what i predicted ages ago...it's no longer Big 3, Big 4, or Big 5.

It's now just Big 2 with SM-Kakao and Hybe. YG and JYP have no chance to compete as independent entities when matched against the two behemoths.

YG has BP, Winner, Akmu, Somi, GD, Treasure, and Taeyang plus Baby Monster.

JYP has Twice, Itzy, SKZ, and NMIXX.

In contrast, Hybe has BTS, Seventeen, New Jeans, LSRFM, Zico, Fromis, TXT, and Enhypen.

SM-Kakao has IU, Ive, Taeyeon, Aespa, RV, EXO, NCT, Suju, Shinee, StayC, Boyz, Weeekly, MonstaX, Apink, and Victon.

Eventually we'll see Kpop coalesce around SM-Kakao and Hybe-YG-Naver as the Big 2. A lot of smaller and mid labels will either shut down or be merged into the Big 2. I guess it IS possible for a 3rd conglomerate to form around CJENM and JYP perhaps (i feel like theyve always been close). Although it is just as likely to see JYP being forced to merge with Hybe eventually as well.

JYPE has: 2pm, Twice, Day6, Stray kids, boys story, itzy, Niziu, Xdinary Heroes and NMIXX. Not counting A2K girl group coming this year, JLoud and Nizi project (boy group version) all set to debut this year apparently

No, SM have Kakao privilege now which is bigger than big3 privilege

But JYP has a lot of million seller groups now, and three groups doing tours (Twice, SK and Itzy), sure they may be a cheap and incompetent company, but they know how to exploit their artists for a big profit margin, which is the biggest amongst the big 4.

Sure, BP still is the main breadwinner in YG, but as pointed out by our YG expert Blue2012, they eat from all hybe groups albums sales, which amount to a good chunk of change.
