most probably the only reason why Boa appear to the end of the ep 3 is because season 2 will focus on how she fit into the SMCU
just like the entire season 1 was about aespa the season 2 will probably be about BOA, and the reason why she appear at the end is to tease it

Because the SMCU is for all SM though it mostly focuses on aespa because their lore is directly connected to it and I believe they are the only ones with these type of plot episodes (other SM artists like Boa may have cameos).
The DCT project is irrelevant. It’s just something Boa wanted to do I think, and she chose the newest SM group to work with. So is GOT (I mean even boa didn’t have anything to do with it and she was asked to join).
The appearing at the end of the BM mv was an SM thing that year where each artist who makes a cb make a feature for the next artist to come back in their MV. aespa appeared at the end of NCT U’s MV too.
Boa was coming back after aespa and it’s probably also connected to BM’s creation as we have seen recently that Boa is the seed of evil that created BM.

She's also been seen with NCT when they were practicing.
I do not think it is fair to be that harsh especially when you don't know her job exactly.
And even if she is not there to help them, if you follow SM acts, you'll know that they have a SM family culture where they work together on different projects like they collaborate on the SM Town album together every year. Aespa are the rookie SM idols that need the most help right now.
