I haven’t heard many songs this year but there are many other non big 3 gg title tracks i prefer to beautiful monster lol.. fromis 9’s dm, ive’s love dive & after like, classy’s shut down & tick tick boom & jealous (seriously their music is slept on a lot), mamamoo’s illella, triples’ generation etc just to name some off the top of my head. Also if lesserafim and nj count as non big 3 then i prefer all their songs too lol

I like Beautiful Monster, but there's a lot more songs better than it sadly.

Damn good bop. An 8 or a 9. Just missing a true climactic bridge. It's so weird, BEP is amazing at giving us outstanding bridges/outros for several B sides but he cant do the same for almost all his title tracks. So Bad was the only one with an epic bridge, which is why it's their best song and only SOTY contender.

lol OP I agree with you, it is among the best in terms of both the song and the visual/performance aspects of the comeback. (Although I don't want to evaluate every single 2022 song against it, I would not disagree with it being the best)

I have an anecdote about this song, one morning I woke up and I just forgot the world and the whole competition between K-pop songs, and that people like Black-Eyed Pilseung have to produce these songs and listen to them back many times trying to make them perfect, the creation of art out of human's thoughts, about STAYC being trendy GG of the 2020s, that the song is called Beautiful Monster, Isa saying "please be a man", that it is a pop song product being sold to people all around the world, and I just suddenly recalled the sound of the song, and then I listened to it, and then I thought that this song is so beautiful if you separate it from its commercialization, production, and even humanity, it is just like the life that exists in a forest on this planet
