this is an interesting statement. they actually admitted to things.
Very satisfied with the way JYPE handled this. Released a statement ASAP, Hyunjin admitted to his mistakes and didn't try to change the convo or anything like that, and sent an apology to the victims vowing that he would never do such things again. The victims accepted his apology and it seems like everything is okay.
I think it'd honestly be better for him to take a short break after all this, just so he and his mental health can be okay.
so he did give some apologies and they accepted it, seems like everything worked out well in my opinion
And Hyunjin's handwritten response as well.
That moment when JYPE is actually the fastest and most efficient in making statements
His letter
I'm waiting for the trans
Translation of Hyunjin's handwritten apology
I thought his fans said he didn’t do it and JYP already confirmed he didn’t, so why is he apologizing? This is a rhetorical question, don’t answer.
Fans really need to learn when to stop, grow up, and establish some common sense. Look at the difference in how this was handled. It was obvious there was truth to the situation. Hyunjin’s been exposed for his old attitude multiple times now. This time it just couldn’t get swept under the rug. Glad he’s finally allowed to address it. Should’ve done in from the get go when they had a lot less to lose.
Fans really think their favs are babies, it's rude to the victims and completely undermines his apology by continuing to insist none of the rumors are true.

For what I could undertand, they investigated talking with Hyunjin's middle school teachers, friends etc but the allegations were completely different from what they remembered about Hyunjin. I think Hyunjin wasn't remembering well too. But he decided to respect the victims feelings and didnt make excuses, so apologized with them in person.
so he indeed bullied that poor girl ???

Ooookay in that case JYP's translation was a bit confusing. I'm glad Hyunjin apologized though, whether or not he actually needed to

If they actually managed to contact so many people and clarified in that short time it actually does se pretty efficient
At worst, the accusations were true and Hyunjin did bully the victim.
At best, the apology is for general words that may have offended the victim or others in his middle school days.
It seems that JYP is reporting that since multiple stances are being said, there is no way to come to one truth, but an apology is being given because there were people who were hurt.
I'm confused. I wish jype had been more clear on what was true and what wasn't, bc it seems like he admitted and apologized, but people on twitter seem to think this means that he didn't do anything?

It's stan twitter, so people are probably just lying to themselves. The infantilization of idols runs rampant on twitter and there's definitely a "my fav can do no wrong" mentality.

I think it's pretty clear based on the translation (maybe in Korean the nuances are different) that something did happen. But what that was and whether it was as severe as originally posted is not stated. It could have been that serious, or it could have been exaggerated.

Yeah I'm confused here too! I read it as him admitting but I guess others read it a different way

JYP made it very clear. They couldn’t come to a conclusion to verify all the bullying claims, but what is true is that Hyunjin hurt multiple class mates with his attitude, so he apologized. The problem is they’re kpop stans, so they will find someway to twist words in their faves favor even if it makes zero sense

Hmm yeah, that's how I read it at first. I just didn't expect people to continue to deny in the face of an apology and wondered if i had taken it the wrong way or something.
Disappointed in him and yes it's good to own up to your past bullshit, I just can't hide my feelings.
Guess I should be thankful he just didn't lie and the company didn't play dumb to shield him.
He couldn't lie anymore & company couldn't play dumb anymore we should say.
Major yikes

The statement did not confirm that he did all of the accusations, but neither confirmed that he did not.
It claims that it was investigated with teachers, students, their friends, acquaintances and the idea they had about Hyunjin did not match the victims' allegations. So “proving” that he committed bullying or not was impossible. BUT as there were people offended and hurt by his actions, he apologized nonetheless personally and in letter form and is reflecting on having hurt someone in the past.
Maybe it's all true, maybe there's only some truths. The only sure thing is that he apologized and was accepted.
The last line hit to the core, which is perhaps necessary in this case
