I fckn hate it when idols act “extra“

I actually don't mind it. I find a lot of "extra" jokes hilarious. Then again, I'm the type of person to laugh at a piece of bread falling down or bad puns, so maybe don't trust my sense of humor that much. Then again, I can completely understand your stance and why you wouldn't like it. I even agree with you on some parts. Idols can be funny without being extra.

I don't mind it most of the time. I'm honestly just happy that I can watch their variety and reality content.

I still find aegyo kind of cringe but it depends I guess.

OMG literally!! I feel like fans of groups who post reality/variety content really often are really lucky. Twice has a new episode of their series every Friday except during Korean comeback weeks. And I mean...EVERY Friday of the year.

I will. When other groups consistently get new content, and we get crickets, it gets so hard to stay, but it's worth it. Okay, now the last part may be pushing it a bit, but still. My point stands.

I don't know. In some groups, I like the extra member, and in others, it can annoy me.

I guess it just depends on how they handle their extraness for me. Like being extra can add entertainment value, but there are those extra people who don't know when to stop which can lean into the annoying bit. But that's usually a personality thing I guess.

Sometimes it reads as fake, and sometimes it reads as genuine. But even that can be subjective.

Yep. Sometimes with the lack of content, I'm questioning my blinkship BUT part of me just keeps pushing and that part of me just keeps going so I guess I'm still here.

I love the girls and their music, I just wish they had more opportunities to release more music and content for fans.

I'm a simple person to be entertained. Someone can be loud or be quiet and still be funny to me

But I love idols with a dead pan humor the most.

I think it depends, this is very common, especially for rookies.

It is mostly Leeseo who always hard carrying IVE in variety, but because she is the maknae, I find it endearing that she is trying.

I think if you are someone who likes variety content of groups, a mix of personalities are always better. A nice balance means you don't get annoyed by over the top shinanigans or get bored because everyone is too low key. My biases tend to be the either the quietest or most "extra" ones in the group lol.

I also think that when groups go on variety shows, 1-2 over the the top members are definitely essential.

To each their own I guess.

I love it when they act extra. Kpop idolship is also kinda like a fantasy, idols are kinda viewed like super humans, great dancer, great singers, great visuals, great personalities, etc. It's going to sound kinda weird but I don't want to see them being "normal" I see people being normal everyday, actually I see a buncha crazy people at work in the bad way but some idols are crazy in the good way.

Actually some of my best friends extremely extra and crazy and weird too and I love them that way.
