The story behind this is awesome...
She said she wrote it when she was suffering from insomnia and she wanted it to be a message for those who were suffering from insomnia or sleeplessness in general.
Cactus was written from the perspective of her pet cactus "Aang" who was dying because Jihyo couldn't really take care of it due to her busy schedule. It tells the story of Aang seeing Jihyo pass by every day, crying for love as it slowly passes away. It was also the first one written and produced by Jihyo. I believe it's also the first Twice song to have a member be credited for the production.
Area was written by Minho. He typically writes/co-writes for his rap parts, but this time, he wrote this song and honestly, it's so mesmerizing. Lyrically it's just idk you can feel the melancholy and emotions from it. Of course, the vocals from the members push this even further.
It's a difficult choice to make in BTS' discography because the members especially RM is heavily involved in BTS' music. But my favourite BTS song ever is happened to be written by the members. So it is easier for me to answer this question.
They wrote this when they were contemplating whether to continue as BTS or not. Rapline put their emotions into words and created this masterpiece. It will be difficult even for BTS to top this song for me.

As Chan was in UNB for a few months they made a song for him. The song is written by Donghun and Jun, but also other producers worked on it (one of them is even Taemin). They totally were missing Chan back than and Donghun had joked that he would actually not care that he was in another group, till he begun to cry and said he actually was missing him
