SM has already been promoting NCT as their top group so idk where you’ve been the past year. As for whether their focus will be on new gens or older groups, i think SM is looking towards the future.

Aespa debut this year and there are rumors a new NCT unit and NBG will release this year.

NCT is going to take over the world and have 1000 members.

However Exo are too big to go down even if they are shelved. Exo still shows up on most searched groups. Baekhyun, suho and sechan's sales be keeping the lights on in Sm. They were and have always been one of the biggest biggest money makers in SM. Growl built a whole Sm building so I doubt they will be forgotten anytime soon.

That is incorrect. TVXQ is still very active and SNSD was active all through SHINee,f(x), EXO and Red Velvet debut. SNSD hiatus is more about members focusing on solo careers.

But you are right EXO is far from dead. RV too.

You clearly don't know what you're talking about SNSD was still getting CBs up until 2017 and ohgg in 2018 y'all always bringing up F(X) trying to compare them to RV when its LITERALLY not the same FX had 1 member leave the group and the group as a whole always got at most 2 CBs a year with long hiatuses FX situation is nothing even close to RV, RV was forced on hiatus due to Wendy almost LOSING her life you idiots always seem to forget that part also . Psycho literally one of the best performing idols songs of 2019 was still charting in 2020 and RV Irene&Seulgi subunit outsold other groups CBs alone.
