Remember to support artists on the come-up!

This is an appreciation thread for all the less-known artists working hard to make a name for themselves, grinding every day to become self-made. These are the ones who need every bit of help from us they can get, so please give some of them a chance. Every bit helps. I get it. We all love to be on the side of the winners, the ones who've already made it, but there's also much to be gained and experienced by sticking with those who are on the come-up.

This is AleXa, a singer from the United States who started out as a K-pop fan and decided to pursue a career in K-pop. She sacrificed comfort and her way of life for this. Her previous music isn't my style, but her latest song? Yeah, that hits all the marks for me.

This is Eyedi, a singer who competed on the popular but controversial survival show MIXNINE. Since then, she's released bop after bop. She incorporates retro sounds that many of us love hearing in K-pop.

This is Seori. Many of us might know her as the featured artist on one of TXT's songs. She has a unique voice that has a crucial role in the industry.

This is Bibi. She started her career with humble beginnings, posting her music on Soundcloud. She got discovered that way and went on to compete on a music show. She really blew up in 2021, but I believe she still deserves more recognition, particularly for her older music.

This is JUNE. To be honest, I don't know as much about him other than that he seems chill and makes great music with an easygoing sound. I like it.

This is PIXY, whom I think are so underrated for their music. I recommend "MOONLIGHT" since it's one of their more universally palatable songs.

BTW I would add DeVita, she came from humble beginnings as well and was on the brink of poverty in Chicago and tried out for many music shows and collabs until she was discovered by AOMG and eventually joined the company

It's almost surreal to witness Bibi's journey over the years, which is why I really recommend everyone to give less-known artists a chance. You never know when they'll blow up, and just believing in them from the start and following their careers is very rewarding. It just makes you really happy for them, you know?

And yes, DeVita! Thanks for reminding me. I'll need to listen to more of her discography. I discovered her last summer thanks to "EVITA!" I'm really happy with her joining AOMG; she's a great fit and I believe she'll go very far as a result.

I wasn't with BIBI all throughout her career but I joined her fandom right before she really blew up, its so amazing seeing her grow and make all this music that is so interconnected with her personality and ideas. I just love that each song holds a piece of BIBI! And, it makes me overjoyed to see that her work and effort is getting her somewhere and that others appreciate her as much as I do.

Similar to my situation. I didn't follow her during the Soundcloud days or her time on The Fan, but I found out about her around the time she made her official debut with "BINU." Loved it and kept up ever since!

Yeah, I noticed she's featured on quite a number of artists' songs, which is great, but it's her EP CRÉME where she truly shines. I generally prefer solo songs since they reflect the artist's unique and signature creativity more. Hoping for a new project from her this year.

Agreed. Given how the hype is usually centered around established artists and groups, I just think it's easy to forget these artists are doing incredible things and making excellent music. They deserve some of our support, too.

PIXY's "MOONLIGHT" sounds like the type of song that many would like even if they don't actively stan the group. It has that factor to it, you know? Kinda like "FANCY" by TWICE when it came out.

I figured many know of Bibi, but I decided to include her anyway since I believe she's still on the rise. She has so much more in store for us, and I look forward to that this year. Her activities in 2021 were basically the setup for what's to come. Additionally, she's a success story of what can happen when an artist keeps pushing and earns a solid fanbase through the years. For those reasons, I thought it was fitting to include her.

I need to mention Jamie. Amazing skills and voice. My favorite song by her? "Apollo 11" for sure.

Thank you! I'm trying to promote less-known artists and introduce them to AKP users who might not know about them. It's one of my goals these days, as it's always refreshing to discover new avenues and be open to new ideas.

I'm really glad you've made your way to the forum. You're already contributing well despite only just getting here recently.

I'm glad, and you won't be disappointed! They're definitely worth checking out. Some of these artists fall outside the K-pop category, but there's some overlap with what they do. They collaborate with K-pop acts and the same producers, for instance.
