Do you feel like you get censored or like people would gang up on you? Does that lead you to being quieter or less active on the forums than you otherwise would be? Or do you feel generally like you are free to say what you like? Uf you feel restricted, what kinds of things do you feel like you are not allowed to say? Do you think true discussions are hampered? Or is it just troll stuff, bashing, and jokes that are unwelcome? Do you feel like too little or too much stuff is allowed?
Are you hesistant to share your true opinions here?

I obviously almost never hold back lol and i feel like everyone should be allowed to be open and honest and not feel like they have to hide their true feelings for fear of reprisals.
I don't want any cancel culture hate mobs forming to silence people. I do hold back occasionally because there are some things that i might find silly or stupid or nonsensical but for others, it's like a huge deal and there's no point in actually hurting them emotionally just to prove a point.

Kinda. Mostly because I suck at expressing my thoughts in words, especially in English. So all my opinions sound vague and can get misunderstood.

U clearly do not care about racism u just want to drag Namjoon. That kind of activity is for twitter, go have fun

Yes, kind of.
I'm usually extremely blunt when talking about music because, like, it's inanimate, it has no feelings, and the people who made it are not going to be reading what I'm saying (uhh... there have been some awkward ocassions on last.fm when... look nevermind...).
But I've shied away from doing that on here.
I think knowing that people on this forum are quite young and a lot of them invest a lot of their identity in their favourite groups means that... They kind of take the music stuff emotionally? And the last thing I want to do is upset anyone over something petty like that.
So usually on a comeback, if I like it, I'll post a lot, but if I don't like it... I'll just stay quiet.

I have no problem sharing my thoughts but I do try to write it in a non controversial way.. because I have to keep reminding myself that each user here is a real person with feelings and some might be more sensitive than others (we don’t know what they’ve been through). Everybody’s thoughts and feelings are valid and you never know how your actions might affect others even online.
And the most important thing is, not to let negative comments affect you emotionally. If they do, you need to take a rest from akp..
I admit at times I regressed so I’m reminding myself these too as I speak!

Happens on here all the time though. A LOT of Armys were up in the Jisoo threads fanning the flames and piling on her and Blinks for the Snowdrop scandal, and they were doing it PURELY to shade Jisoo and by association BP. Not a single one of them actually cares about Korean history, they only saw it as a means to attack a hated rival by piling on.
To be clear, they have the right to do that, but i say if you're willing to dish it out, you gotta take it as well.

I agree with u but we shouldn't derail the thread, don't wanna get a warning

I never hesitate to express my true thoughts. That's why even some members of my own fandom don't like me, they immediately start calling me by nonsense names like manti or solo etc. I guess when something they don't like is said, they need to do things like this to prove that the other person is less fan than they are lol

I hate when stans try to gatekeep a fandom. We're allowed opinions. They're fandoms, not cults. I don't like all my faves releases, but I'm still have fan!
-
I'n used to hold myself, I'm very reserved. I'm also like that in real life. I have too much thoughts and barely express myself. It's not something hurting me, tho.
I think there are moments for everything. I only share what I think when I feel the moment is appropriated. I don't think just because I'm anonymous in a forum I have to share everything I think.

True, some people are very invested in their faves and any even slight criticism is taken personally. I don't want to hurt anyone either, but I do wish we could just have more discussion. I like hearing people's opinions, for good and for bad, unless they are just being hateful. Honest criticism is fine.

i don't say my real opinions of idols on here but i for sure will say my real opinions of other stuff.
-
-
honestly if time ever comes i will say my opinions but i think some people would throw me into the pits of hell if i did say some of them.

The answer is yes. I left this forum once before because I was so tired of users twisting my words, or just straight up looking to argue. Most users react emotionally instead of logically (I do sometimes as well) and it gets frustrating. It's literally a discussion forum and yet we rarely have discussions. Instead, some of us feel like we have to censor ourselves to the extreme in fear of upsetting someone or making them angry. It's honestly quite sad.

Yeah, like I can't stand fans who act like it's a crime not to watch videos, stream to songs, or vote all day. I'm only interested in the music of these people. They are not my friends, not my family. Yes, I'm a fan of them, but I didn't dedicate my life to them. There are also those who acting as if having a bias is a bad thing, they're on a different level lol

I can understand how that would be frustrating. What drew you back, if you don't mind me asking?
Anyway, since now we have the guilds where people can feel safe and appreciate their faves without any non-fans harshing on that, maybe we should expect and allow more open and frank discussions in the main kpop section?

After taking a break for a few months, the feeling that made me leave in the first place had subsided and I really just missed talking to MYs. I'm a casual listener of many groups though so I join in on a lot of other threads. Usually I try to keep things positive but sometimes I have a frank opinion that I won't share because I don't want to be attacked
-
Not me lol…

I’m opinionated and like to give my opinion and engage in discussions- on here and in real life, but sometimes it really depends.
I don’t have a problem with confrontation but man, sometimes I just like coming on here to take a break from work stress and chat about music and stuff, so sometimes to me it’s not worth the drama that will ensue if I say what I’m really thinking sometimes. It’s better not to engage then get really cranky about some stupid shit that doesn’t really matter in the scheme of life.
But sometimes I’m still gonna keep discussing/arguing.
