Ehhh again... official MAMA line up has 12 male artists and just 3 girl groups

it's so sad kepler didn't get to perform due to covid...

i was excited for them, especially Yujin because I think this would have been her first big stage since debut

idk what happened, maybe 3rd gen groups that attended last year like twice, mamamoo and oh my girl didn't accept? because they were treated badly and they have enough power to decline the invitation

and idk why they aren't getting more solos to perform. there's Somi, Chungha, Hyuna...

I saw ed sheeran in the list but are Jessi and Sunmi really collaborating with him or not?

Oh my girl isn't going either. Anyways they need rest as they performed in many events and concerts.

I am fine with the lineup. NCT and aespa on the same show is too good to be true but I would also love more GGs. I hope in compensation there would be special stages and collabs. Seriously all the award shows stages for most groups are becoming depressing with the lack of audience participation and with them repeating the same format. I remember year-end shows had really special performances completely different from music shows but AAA and MMA were disappointing so far. I am excited for the SWF dancers but PLEASE not the Hey Mama song again (who am I kidding... It's fitting "MAMA" they will USE it).

people scream misogyny and "sausage fest" without realizing that most ggs (and many bgs) probably declined the offer of joining the line up. haven't you seen the line ups for all the award shows this year so far? mostly 4th gen and bgs. out of 4th gen for ggs the bigger ggs are attending (itzy and aespa). i don't understand what suddenly happened that made 3rd gen groups not want to attend any of these shows

Is 3rd gen at award shows just a dead thing now? I'm used to not seeing BLACKPINK but really the only active 3rd gen group this year is NCT in it's various units?

Even MMA and AAA had little to no 3rd gen appearances.
