Why do people always try to put down BTS success?

1. Bitterness that BTS has surpassed their faves

2. Jealousy that their faves don't have the same success as BTS

In my case, i kinda hate that their fans think succes=quality. Yeah, BTS make nice music, but for some is like they are the best band in the world, and not, they are the most popular band in the world but not the best. They dont bring nothing new to the scene, nothing ground-breaking, and in the end they are just a product of a company. That is why they are now making songs in english even if only one member can sing in english. So, i dont hate BTS, i hate their crazy fans.

Their company is more of a product of BTS, actually, since they basically built it from the ground up. Also, in their interviews they are acting like they would like to continue to make music primarily in Korean.

I saw antis chucking down BTS's win in AMas as mass voting. But so? Imagine having that many people so passionate about you to make you win 3/3 awards?

I dont think any Kpop group is the best compare with all the groups out there. But that just me. And ofc i believe my favorite band is one of the best.

I don't have any particular strong feelings towards BTS, I like a few songs but I'm defo not an army sooo if you wanna have an ubiased opinion ...I think it's mostly these 3 reasons

1. first of all it's the good old jealousy because their faves could never

2. the group is literally everywhere so unless you are a fan, you might get naturally annoyed by them

3. a part of the fandom is presenting BTS as next Beatles and people are annoyed by it - edit: what I mean is a part of fandom overhypes them too much and people get annoyed by it, take the Beatles part just as a metaphor

But at the end of the day as long as haters are throwing a tantrum, you know your faves are super popular....in an ideal world it wouldn't be like that but oh well

Whenever BTS was successful with something, especially Kpop stans find a reason to downgrade this success again.

It really stretches out over the years:

• BTS survived several weeks at #1 with Butter. Weak competition.
• BTS won an American daesang. Yeah, but other groups were bigger.

And now I see comments that want to make this success bad. Comparing them with other giant groups as if it would change something. No wonder Armys are so protective of BTS, with all the crap they have to listen to.

What I also always find very interesting is that the standard of the opposing group, measured against the success of BTS, is always set higher. According to the motto, we will find a group that is superior to BTS.

First it was EXO, then BigBang, then One Direction, then New Kids on the Block and what's next.... Jackson Five or just Michael Jackson?

There are so many people who just feel envious and jealous over any success and then there are people like me who just see a hard working group that has had nothing but stone put in their way for years and they overcame that with teamwork and great and loyal fans. I call that respect.

Of course, you can't force someone to dislike a group. The people who don't like BTS will have their reasons, but if you don't have anything nice to say, you should just keep quiet.

My fullest respect to BTS. For what they achieved and for what they will achieve in the future.

It becomes a problem when these same fans (who act like BTS can do no wrong musically) attack others for sharing an opinion that they don't agree with. If you say you don't like something, then you get attacked. I'm tired of people acting like it's not true. I've been a casual listener since their debut and this is just the reality.

BTS got insane hate every moment in their career, from when they were nugus to now when they are ww domiant act, that's what the OP explores. So much hate that even the members addressed it...

2) Like I said, they are NOW everywhere, deservedly so... because they are just that successful. Not their fault, nor the fault of their fans... and certainly it doesn't explain how they got insane hate even when they were not "everywhere".

3) Also, nobody is presenting BTS as the next Beatles, that was some of the media at the start. Yoongi even refused when he was asked about that. And ARMYs don't want BTS to be treated as the second anything, when they are writing history as themselves.

So, I guess before... it was superiority complex of certain companies' fans and now it's jealousy.

Don't worry I know all of this...the reasons I've listed is just something I explored being outside of the fandom but listening to them sometimes

The amount of hate they received as rookies was kinda normal tho...not saying it should be normal but it happens a lot if you look at the other groups which are getting successful ...

2.) I'm not saying they don't deserve it...it's just certain people get annoyed by this...again it's not a correct attitude but it happens A LOT and not only with popular groups but also movies, series etc

Hmmm, I don't see ARMYS here equating BTS to Beatles. It's some journo from the UK, I think.

Anyhow, I think what ARMYS are saying is 'BTS is legendary' ( which is true). And I think we only say it in BTS related threads.
