I think timing is the issue. People don't anticipate twice like before so they won't have high debuts. It'll rise later.

Alcohol Free is strong enough to be nominated for GG categories so....

Just because they’re not doing as well as they used to (and it’s natural to start declining after so many years) doesn’t mean the gp doesn’t care about them. They’re still doing better than like 95% of the other groups.

not everything revolves around Korea and tbh selling 700k shows they are getting stronger, from a business perspective they aren't going anywhere.... if anything I'm surprised at their longitivtiy.

i think it has to do with the song choice and timing. it'll rise on all charts soon but moonlight and icon would've done better, domestically and internationally respectively. i hope jype gives up trying to cater to korea when now the whole world is watching twice and a title track like icon could've made waves globally.

Does it matter? They are doing just fine internationally, which has been more profitable for kpop artists nowadays.

Yes but it doesn’t matter anymore, at least not to ONCEs. Dahyun said last year during M&M era that she wanted it to rank #1 as her birthday gift. Now, their entire concept and goals have changed and I am sure TWICE have realized the change in their charting as well. As a result we don’t see members wishing for their songs to rank #1 now but billboard 100, 200 are their primary goals.

Does it matter to them? I don’t know. But logically speaking, when you’re nearing contract renewals, have more input in your music and selling more with each comeback, I doubt it affects them much.
