God's Menu blew me away the first time I heard it too and I have actually sent it to several non-kpop fan friends and they've all enjoyed it.

To be honest, these kind of threads get repeated ad naseum here. In fact, I did a very similar one myself months ago. Most topics do get repeated. I had someone post the same question as me once and both threads were on the very first page. Unless they're super close together like that, I don't think twice about it. I usually look back at least a page or two to make sure I'm not repeating. Most people don't even do that.

I find that many non-kpop fans around me have the impression that kpop is too soft and pop-y. They think it's slick and overproduced and prefer their music to have more of an edge. That's one of the reasons I put in the choices I did. I like your choices too though.

Oh, i wasn't saying your choices were that. I mean, I used Monster too! I was just trying to explain why I picked God's Menu and why I didn't think it would be too much for my friend group.

it's not surprising that bts gained so many fans over the last few years. their english singles don't sound kpop. people who liked those songs will check the rest of their discography, if they like it they might give other kpop groups a chance. example - me :). btw i'm bwl era army but that's my least fave bts title track, if i didn't hear mic drop i wouldn't be here

Different strokes i guess lol cuz everyone that I've shown God's Menu to have thought it rocked and none of them like BTS' English stuff. But they all like harder stuff in general and don't care for a lot of top 40 style western pop
