GP999: Ruiqi demonstrated the reason why she didn’t debut after 3 girl group survivals

She too eagerly and visibly wants to be the big fish in a small pond. But GP999 isn’t about debuting the Pussycat Dolls. She should either go solo or try to harmonize better with the rest of the group, but it doesn’t look like she can do that. She can’t help being an edgy show off in a kind of group that’s obviously not built for that. Even Sakura and Wonyoung don’t look like they are being forceful to stand out, it occurs naturally. Unfortunately for Ruiqi her tryhardness was her downfall

She threw a tantrum and was sabotaging her group with her obvious “fuck this shit” attitude after they changed her part. At this late stage of the game, with no chance at redemption

She's a hard-working girl that wants to get fair exposure... I can't blame her. The situation about her lines being switched with Yaning's was really relatable(at least for me) . I would also feel insecure and angry if the lines that I really wanted and practiced for were taken away from me(This isn't Yaning's fault either, she was in a complicatd situation... if she had rejected the judges advice . Yaning would have been edited badly...)

It’s a competition to be in a group, not a competition to beat your group. Big difference. After all these survivals she attended she should have been aware of that. The trainees who rose up the ranks are those who demonstrated team work and bond. While naked ambition made those fall down, particularly Cai Bing.

But what your saying is a fair point in general. At least the concept.

In these types of team building endeavors, you have to walk a fine line.

You want to stand out and showcase your talents. And technically you are often competing for yourself against everyone, so it would seem straightforward to be as competitive as possible.

But at the same time you can't be too individualistic. Or be seen as antithetical to group harmony.

I think this also plays into common Asian philosophical underpinnings as well.

You want to appear as exceptional. But exceptional within the group hierarchy.

Behavior seen as being too overtly selfish or attention seeking in motivation is not often rewarded.

You must exhibit harmonious exceptionalism.

Rather than a cowboy aura.

They either didn't see the segment or are brushing it off because they are biased towards Chinese trainees. Sui Ruiqi made several mistakes:

- get an attitude with her group because her part was re-assigned

- gave Koreans' darling, Dayeon, a hard time trying to get her to calm down

- couldn't even feign composure and grace. obviously she would be internally upset, but if she can't even do this as a trainee, how can she handle in the actual final group when the pressure to be perfect is even greater

Whether her yawning was edited or not, that was just a drop in the bucket. Her entire attitude and body language with her team was off-putting and you could see it in all the member's faces. And she even needed several interventions to get her to chill.

But that's what being in a group is about, she either makes a proper case for herself or she sucks it up and makes the best of it. Like I said, if her personality isn't compatible with being in a group, there you see the results.

And I would be really frustrated too if I am in her position, like mostly trainees will crying too and everything if this happen to them. On top of that, the planet master is weird enough to make them switch.
