So IS Aespa actually adding three members?

Some are speculating that aespa is going to have subunits like NCT. I'm kind of hoping this is not the case but it would also be really cool.

Honestly they've been dropping hints for a while, some fans have just decided four is enough. Let me tell you now its not up to us to decide, unfortunately. I would rather the 3 girls debut at the beginning but they didn't, but I wouldn't want SM to drop them cause they're scared fans wouldn't accept them, I rather everyone enjoys aespa music and keep an open mind. My theory for Forever is that it is actually a statement for the Og 4 members, that they started off a four and they are saying their goodbyes to that. Theres a few dance moves to indicate but the fairest one is 2:27 When Ningning was waving as the members left one by one (indicating it may no longer be a 4 member group) and other clues like that. I could be wrong, I'm open to discussion.

Not saying it's bad or anything but they are probably going to end up being like a GG version of NCT

unconventional debuts? Don't really know why you mean by that? I mean Red Velvet was pretty ordinary debut.... even if they added a member later.
Anyway, feel they just risk to confuse the public if they add more members and also it's a bit unfair giving the first members a head start.

Actually I think this time its part of their universe. If you go by the concept, the girl's ai have been cut from communicating with them, somethings wrong in their world etc, so it makes sense they'll need help from other people (MEMBERS)

Adding new members is gonna bring them a lot of attention and a lot of non fans will be curious about the new members. So it's debut hype 2.0. The public barely knows aespa , they haven't promoted much if you don't count music shows or radio shows. The actual members might already have fans but if the new members have the visual/good personality/talent won't have any problem to get fans. And aespa only have 2 songs, one of them a remake. So they could wait to add more member for shock value or because one of the members is too young, there was a rumour the maknae was 15/16 years old.

That said as far as we know aespa is four. I don't want to discuss this until the next comeback because it's very tiring, there's nothing to speculate we haven't already discussed before anyway.

The industry insider already proclaimed this and he's been RIGHT so far. Knowing SM, it's not far from happening.

For now, I'm good with them as FOUR. An ACE 4th Gen VOCAL GROUP.

Wasn’t that the same for yeri she just turned 16 at debut but it doesn’t make sense because they debuted Jisung at 14 and Chenle at 15 and the 00s at 16 so I’m not sure if it’s age.

Probably a publicity stunt because the 03 liner would be turning/is 18 this year, I mean unless theyre concept is “s€xual” it wouldn’t be an SM thing to care for legal age (not that they ever would regardless of concept)

They’re prolly gonna add another foreigner since SM is going for the foreign market, same with JYP and them wanting members for a (Mexico/USA) group regardless of race. This decade bout to get spicy 🌶 🥵

EDIT: Just noticed I worded it wrong, SM obviously is gonna debut East/SE Asians but the possibility (very low chance but he mentioned it himself) of other races goes to JYP so y’all don't get confused.

Its a yes and no. Yes because...

1. Those avatars have such unrealistic body proportions it’s eye boggling.

2. SM female groups tend to have a lot of support from older men (30+).

3. These AIs are supposedly the members right? And they’re supposed to make an app or sum where they will be your “friend” as if you know them yourself?

Like SM entered themselves into some murky ass water. People will get obsessive and possessive like there’s no tomorrow. These AIs are the members, unrealistic bodies, and supposed to be your friend? Of course people are gonna sexual it tbh but yet at the same time its also no because they would’ve s€xualised them nonetheless. I see issues coming from this and SM will drop it sooner or later.

Maybe thats their morals so legally they could debut younger age girls but maybe aespa is going to do some sexy concept and SM weren't really comfy letting their (Possible) Maknae be subject of complaints saying they're too young or whatever. So instead debut them when their 18/19 plus and legally an adult

I mean Suju and RV both got new member after they debuted so i wouldn't say that it's weird for sm to do that again.

I feel so selfish to want no more members (maybe just one more) because for the first time in forever there’s a group with no member lacking in any department. Adding another member that might lack in dance or vocals would be bad. If it’s another all rounder then wow.

i hope they add more but dont go to a nct subunit level.

Literally listening to forever now thinking they really have it all, like they dont need anyone else joining, but if the hypothetical new members were already decided I wouldn't want them binned at the last min because SM went with the public opinions. Poor girls that have trained so hard and probably told they would debut soon into a famous rookie group just to be told to get lost

Whatever it is and whatever happens, let just hope it benefits aespa in their concept or adds onto their talent, cause if they drop someone into the group who's not at their ability and shows little to no sign of improvement........
