There are no guarantees in the music industry.
There are several instances of groups with all of these things failing and vice versa.
I think what can make a difference is if a group had made it big/gone viral but the lack of/horrible promotions didn't support it.

yeah that's true but I think before that they lost many fans because they went to japan. They were too long there.
Then came Love Scenario and beside this song being one of the biggest of kpop songs I would say they didn't win much more fans with it.

Enhypen would be much more popular if Belift promoted them on TV.
Tbh, korean just done with kpop esp bg. Going to the variety show is not going to make them popular at all because gp just don't care at all unless you're already that famous like bp, bts or even brave girl to make people tune in. People would not remember them even they watch it. Looks at other groups especially bg that always appear in variety shows, did they get famous because of it? Did gp listen to their music?
Kpop stans need to realize, variety show or being in tv is not as big as before. En- doing really good and they not even turning a year especially if you compare to other bg at their first year. I just don't understand anymore.

No...hahahaa sorry if I sound quite rude, but no, this is not work anymore. As I said, korean not really into kpop especially bg. Teens are spending their time more on social media than watching tv, we are here in 2021 now.

Really? Which channel? I don't remember watching it on tv. Probably, yes.
Other than that, these shows give nothing at all. I don't understand why not utilize media social than tv shows that you know doing nothing to them? Tik tok is easier way to gain teens korean fans. Nothing change to those bg that go to these shows, they still struggle to chart in Korea, at least en- making good amount of money and it is good already. None of groups like bts, svt, and exo got popular or active joining tv shows. Txt and skz who is the top 4th gen groups also have small korean fandom, and txt charted well for bg because gp love their music.

Oh god ikon is so complicated, because I think their downfall came about with bi leaving that played such a fundamental role in the musical production for the group, but yet without him leaving ikon would be plagued with rumours and be criticised daily by the public. I think ikon just got given a bad set of cards and they could have never been extremely successful

SBS. Well, TXT has a medium Korean fandom and Big Hit promotes them a lot, I wish CJ did that for Enha. I just asked my Korean friend and she said TV promo would help them.

Its sbs mobidic program, which is airing on yt. Txt getting bigger here because of their songs are gp friendly, compare to other bg. Idk who your friends, you can believe what you want but trust me, tv show doing nothing, just release gp friendly songs and they can get noticed and new korean fans the way txt and day6 do here.
