Like late 00s.
So my journey into kpop was really weird. I remember when Super Junior debuted and I hated it (which is hilarious to me because I love them now) and when Rain first started making waves here in the US (around the time he got mentioned on Stephen Colbert and was in Speed Racer), I started listening to his music. So while I wasn't *technically* a kpop fan, I was a huge fan of Rain (and also TVXQ after hearing them in One Piece, but I legit thought they were a jpop group until they enlisted.
