Why did Red velvet's red concepts become less popular??

Korean still love Red concepts. It's just international fan love Velvet concept more

RV concept popularity never been stable
In 2017,RF was their biggest hit when pk just did ok, then the following year bb did way better and had better longevity in the long run compared to power up, then by 2020 all their red concept did meh to psycho that smach instantly
Maybe this also come with age, as they are older people just prefer their velvet songs and their red songs don't look or sound as gimmicky as before like queendom is very water down compared to ice cream cake or dumb dumb imo

western people usually don't like cutesy stuff
Red Velvet Red isn't even cutesy, it's quirky/surreal but upbeat.

I think Bad boy started that and Psycho finished it. They just need another red concept song that is loved by the majority like Red Flavor to bring the Red popularity back. For me, I thought I liked their Velvet more (not their first years ones tho) but as I go back to my playlist, I notice that I am addicted to their Red concept songs more. I loved Queendom. I don't understand how some people thought it wasn't good. Probably because they had so much expectations after the hiatus and RV's last song was Psycho so it was inevitable to compare. Had their last song been ZimZimshit then everyone would have no problem with the BOP that is Queendom.

Zimzalabim is actually quite daring and timeless song, I even prefer it to my top 5 Red song playlists that I enjoy listening to more than Russian Roulette right now because my favorite song in past is RR but now I'm bored. Queendom is a refreshing summer song. I think it's a good song but just lacks the wow factor. Again, I like the Bsides more than title song. I like Better be, Pose and Hello Sunset while listening to it right now.

I feel like their red concepts aren't as good as they used to be a few years ago

I actually liked their red side, but after power up, zzlb and Queendom forgettable eras I'm not hyped for that side anymore, it lacks the quality and memorable factor of their other songs

Bad boy happened

I love both. A lot.
